The Seventh Commandment 105<br />
benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.<br />
The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband:<br />
and likewise also the husband hath not power of his<br />
own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other,<br />
except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give<br />
yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again,<br />
that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency" (I Cor.<br />
7:3-5 ).<br />
The material act of bodily union is a debt each marriage<br />
partner owes the other. But it is a debt of LOVE and is<br />
so intimate and holy that God often blesses it with a NEW<br />
LIFE<br />
Ṫhe Divine purpose in sex attraction is to kindle love<br />
and intensify it until there is complete and mutual surrender<br />
of two lives. Love in its highest sense is union. The<br />
marriage union of mind, heart and body. It is made sacred<br />
by God's command, for He instituted marriage to be the<br />
perfect expression of this love of man and woman. If you<br />

Marriage Pictures Christ and His Church<br />
As ordained by God, the marriage union is a HOLY<br />
thing. It is so holy that in His Word Almighty God uses<br />
the marriage union as a type of the relationship between<br />
CHRIST and His Church!<br />
Notice Ephesians 5:22-33: "Wives, submit yourselves<br />
unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband<br />
is the head of the wife, EVEN AS Christ is the Head of<br />
the Church: and He is the Saviour of the body. Therefore<br />
as the Church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to<br />
their own husbands in everything."<br />
In this place, God shows that in the Christian home<br />
the wife is to submit herself to her husband as the HEAD of<br />
that home just as she must learn to submit to Christ<br />
