The UNI-SOLAR intellectual property portfolio includes 67 United<br />
States patents and 82 international equivalents providing broad<br />
coverage of cell design and materials, manufacturing processes,<br />
and laminates and applications. An additional 44 United States and<br />
94 international patents are pending. This portfolio, along with<br />
extensive trade secrets and know-how creates significant barriers<br />
to entry and includes:<br />
PrOPrIETAry rOLL-TO-rOLL<br />
MAnuFACTurInG PrOCESS<br />
that is the only commercial scale roll-to-roll manufacturer process for<br />
flexible cells and offers significant manufacturing benefits over<br />
traditional batch processes. The stainless steel roll moves in a continuous<br />
manner through four machines to complete solar cell fabrication.<br />
TrIPLE JunCTIOn DESIGn<br />
Has higher conversion efficiency compared to traditional a-Si<br />
technologies by incorporating blue, green and red absorption cells,<br />
placed on a single, flexible stainless steel substrate.<br />
GAS GATE TEChnOLOGy<br />
Integral to continuous processing of the elongated stainless steel<br />
rolls, gas gate technology is a proprietary process invented to<br />
prevent cross contamination of different gases in adjacent chambers.<br />
PEEL-AnD-STICk TEChnOLOGy<br />
Patented process for attaching solar laminates to rooftops, known<br />
as “Peel-and-Stick.” Attachment only requires removing a thin sheet<br />
of polymer to expose the rear surface of a solar laminate to which<br />
adhesive has been fixed.<br />
TrADE SECrETS AnD knOW-hOW<br />
In addition and complementary to patented technology described<br />
above is a substantial body of trade secrets and know-how related<br />
to the complex steps of the roll-to-roll processing of flexible stainless<br />
steel substrates. This know-how has been developed during<br />
almost three decades of designing and building generations of UNI-<br />
SOLAR continuous processing equipment.<br />

A 15% buyer's premium will be charged on all assets.<br />
Everything will be sold to the highest bidder for cash, in<br />
accordance with the Auctioneer’s customary “Terms of<br />
Sale”, copies of which will be posted on the premises of the<br />
sale and subject to additional terms announced the day of<br />
sale. All items will be sold “as is, where-is” without any warranties,<br />
expressed or implied. Although obtained from<br />
sources deemed reliable, the Auctioneer makes no warranty<br />
or guarantee to the accuracy of the information herein<br />
contained. Bidders are encouraged to thoroughly inspect<br />
the items on which they intend to bid prior to sale.<br />
Absolutely no items will be removed until the day after the<br />
conclusion of the sale and payment is made in full. Subject<br />

Company checks payable to Heritage Global Partners will<br />
be accepted only if accompanied by a bank letter of guarantee,<br />

sales tax. Purchasers claiming exemptions from taxes must<br />
provide proof satisfactory to the Auctioneer of their entitlement<br />
