Operation Round Up Foundation making a difference
This year at the Wayne County Red Cross Annual meeting, the members of Holmes-Wayne
Electric Cooperative received the Good Neighbor Award. This special award was
to recognize HWEC members for their financial support provided to families following
emergencies. Since the inception of Operation Round Up in January 2006, the foundation
has assisted 24 families in both Wayne and Holmes counties, providing
$23,900 in assistance for desperately needed furniture, clothing and food. A sincere
thanks and appreciation to those members of Holmes-Wayne
Electric who choose to participate in Operation Round Up and have their their bill
rounded up every month to donate to the foundation. Your pennies are making a
dramatic difference for those who have lost everything.
our operations department meet you on-site to review your new electric service needs.
Go paperless!
If you are one of the many that are taking advantage of the HWEC online bill payment option, you
now can receive your monthly electric bill via e-mail only and eliminate all paper copies. Just select
the “Stop/Start Print Bill” button located on the left column of the HWEC e-bill website.
Tip of the month
Use the moisture sensor feature on your clothes dryer if it has one. This option shuts down the dryer
when clothes are dry. In addition, clean the lint filter after each load. This improves air circulation
and increases the dryer's efficiency.
