Tasty Poached Tuna<br />
SERVES 4 (1 STEAK EACH)<br />
ALL YOU NEED<br />
1 cup dry white wine<br />
1 cup water<br />
½ teaspoon whole black peppercorns<br />
¼ teaspoon dry mustard powder<br />
5 sprigs fresh parsley<br />
1 garlic clove, cut in half<br />
½ teaspoon <strong>Hy</strong>-<strong>Vee</strong> Salt<br />
4 (4 ounces each) ahi tuna steaks<br />

ALL YOU DO<br />
1. Combine wine, water, peppercorns, dry mustard, parsley, garlic and salt in a skillet large enough to hold<br />
the tuna. Bring to a boil. 2. Add tuna to skillet. Simmer gently until tuna reaches desired doneness. For<br />
rare to medium, cook 1 to 3 minutes per side. For medium to medium-well, cook 3 to 5 minutes per side.<br />
For medium-well to well, cook 5 to 7 minutes per side. 3. Discard cooking liquid. Serve immediately.<br />

Tasty Tuna Salad with Lemon-Garlic Mayonnaise<br />
SERVES 2<br />
2 tablespoons light mayonnaise<br />
1 teaspoon <strong>Hy</strong>-<strong>Vee</strong> Lemon Juice<br />
1 small garlic clove, finely chopped<br />
1 Tasty Poached Tuna Steak, cooled and flaked<br />
<strong>Hy</strong>-<strong>Vee</strong> Pepper, to taste<br />
2 ciabatta rolls, baked<br />
Lettuce leaves and tomato slices, optional<br />
1. Mix together mayonnaise, lemon juice and garlic in a medium bowl. 2. Fold in tuna.<br />
Season to taste with pepper. 3. Split rolls and divide tuna between them. If desired, add<br />
lettuce and tomato to each sandwich.<br />
