It’s wonderful that you are pay<strong>in</strong>g us a visit. Explor<strong>in</strong>g Tyrol’s state capital and its surround<strong>in</strong>g region <strong>in</strong> the heart of the Alps on a bicycle is an unbeatably<br />

great idea. You will doubtless have lots of fun and take <strong>in</strong> a bevy of excit<strong>in</strong>g impressions along our chosen routes.<br />

All our bike-tour suggestions are suitable for the entire family. Leave yourself ample time to enjoy the landscape, try to avoid any va<strong>in</strong> sport<strong>in</strong>g ambitions.<br />

For your personal safety, please wear a helmet and heed the rules and regulations of the traffic laws.<br />

And one further tip: Tyrol is an extremely hospitable land, full of friendl<strong>in</strong>ess and will<strong>in</strong>gness to help. In case you have questions along the route or<br />

are <strong>in</strong> need of assistance, please ask any of the locals. They will be glad to help you if they can.<br />

And so: up <strong>in</strong>to the saddle and off you go!<br />

<strong>Route</strong> 2 – The Leisure Tour<br />

A perfect excursion for the entire family, particularly for kids.<br />

This roundabout path is highly pleasant and memorable because of pure enjoyment bik<strong>in</strong>g and diverse leisure activity possibilities.<br />

Along the route there are lots of playgrounds and artificial rocks to scramble and “boulder” on. At the end of the route is the artificial<br />

lake (“Baggersee”), a popular swimm<strong>in</strong>g hole among locals. The path is dotted with stopover spots, a m<strong>in</strong>iature golf course and<br />

refresh<strong>in</strong>g watery pleasures for a dip after your efforts.<br />

So: pack your swim trunks and off you go!<br />

Head down the ma<strong>in</strong> shopp<strong>in</strong>g mile, Maria-Theresien-Strasse, and over to the Rennweg,<br />

with the Imperial Palace on your left, the State Theater on your right. Pedal through the district of residential villas, Saggen,<br />

past the grand homes of times past, on the bik<strong>in</strong>g path along the banks of the Sill down to the Inn, Tyrol’s major river,<br />

whose green-hued waves will accompany you all the way to Hall.<br />
