Where has the sun gone? This really doesn’t feel like July as we approach the end of term. A reminder that our
leavers and thank you assembly will be tomorrow at 2:40pm in the school hall and everyone is welcome to
attend.
Play area
I have been asked by the Parish Council to remind the children that the play area at the front of the school is for
pre school children up to the age of 6years when accompanied by an adult. The swing and gate has been
damaged several times recently. If anyone knows how this has happened could they let Barry Hookins know in
the village shop.
Library Books
We would like to take stock of the library books over the holidays. Would children, particularly the Year 6 leavers,
please return any reading and library books as soon as possible.
Sainsbury’s Vouchers
We collected a massive 21,000 from Sainsbury’s - the teachers are busy ordering from the catalogue for the
benefit of the children.
FIS
Ide Charity Ball – Saturday 24 th September at Ide School – licensed bar, live music, catering by The Royal
Marines, all this for only £20 per ticket. Tickets are selling fast, so if you would like to come, please fill in the slip
below.
Morning Drop off
Parents are reminded that in the morning children are the responsibility of parents until the
whistle goes.
Exercise books
Some children have or will be bringing home exercise books this
week. Please keep them to hand as we are expecting an OFSTED
inspection next year and if this is early in the Autumn Term we may
need to request that books are returned if inspectors require evidence
from the previous year.
As the end of the Academic year draws to a close I thought it
worth reflecting on some of the highlights of the
