Vessel Arrest Boom
Creates a clear demarcation line in the water
whilst providing stopping capability
by entangling a vessel’s propeller(s).
Vessel Arrest Fence
A novel approach to stopping fast
waterborne vessels.
Existing systems are designed to
Stop a vessel by absorbing and dissipating
the vessel’s kinetic energy
within the barrier system.
Cortland – Vessel Arrest Systems
Patented Technology
has solved this complex problem
to deliver a less than lethal means
of stopping a vessel.

Vessel Arrest Boom
Tested and approved by third party government scientific laboratory.
The Vessel Arrest Boom is a lightweight HMPE fibre boom with floats to aid visibility,
conforms to IMO & IALA zoning regulations. Can make any shape to fit any port facility,
unique lightweight construction provides for quick deployment and recovery by small ‘RHiB’
and a team of just two people, it can be temporary or a permanent installation.
