M60 SUPPORT 

Tecmotiv offers complete support for the M60 series, including all Major and Minor components. 

Our company is a US Army approved source for the AVDS 1790 series of engines, as well as a US 

Army approved source for the CD-850 Transmissions. Tecmotiv has also built the Final Drive for 

the M60 under US Government contract. Our US based facility has all required test equipment 

and special tools for the complete M60 automotive system. 

Tecmotiv’s Clean Room has been approved for the assembly of Hydraulic Turret Drive 

Components and other precision components such as Fuel Injection and optical components. Our 

technicians are highly trained and have acquired a vast amount of experience with the M60 and 

it’s components. 

Our reputation and dedication to quality leads to many repeat customers, including General 

Dynamics, B.A.E, Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, most of the US Army depots, and the US Army 

Supply System. Tecmotiv is on TACOM’s Quality Supplier List. Tecmotiv recently completed a 5- 

year repair and return contract with NAMSA (NATO Supply System) for the AVDS 1790 engine. All 

major assemblies built by Tecmotiv come complete with a full warranty on material and labor.

With unique capabilities and a reputation for excellence, Tecmotiv offers our customers access to 

one of the vastest inventories of spare parts in the industry. Tecmotiv has the foresight to 

procure long lead and mandatory replacement item and our customers have come to rely on us 

for support in time when emergency service is required.

AVDS 1790 Engines 

Tecmotiv overhauls AVDS 1790 Engines in accordance with the US Army DMWR 9-2815-220. We 

have accomplished the TACOM 400 hour Mission Profile Test and are recognized as a qualified 

supplier by the US government. Our history includes a five-year NAMSA contract recently 

completed, plus several other contracts. Tecmotiv is currently working on a five-year contract 

with the USMC, a sole source contract with US Army TACOM and contracts with two other major 

OEMs for the AVDS 1790 Series of Engines. 

CD-850 Transmissions 

Tecmotiv is the only source presently approved by the US Government for the M60 transmission. 

The company not only manufactures these transmissions, it regularly repairs and overhauls a 

large number of CD-850 transmissions and subsystems in accordance with DMWR 9-2520-223. 

Tecmotiv also supplied many new and rebuilt transmission assemblies and components to the US 

Army and other international customers. Tecmotiv can provide new CD-850-6A1 Transmissions, 

and can upgrade the CD-850 transmission to have 1050HP capability. 





Dynamometer Testing 

All rebuilt components from Tecmotiv undergo full dynamometer testing in accordance to DMWR 

specifications. Every rebuild that leaves our facility is shipped with full test reports guaranteeing 

the highest quality in the industry. 

Other Drive Train Components and Accessories 

Tecmotiv supplies many other M60 drive train components and accessories. Some new and 

reconditioned items they supply include Final Drives, Fan Drives, Turbochargers, Starters, 650- 

AMP Generators, and Fuel Injection Pumps. 

Tecmotiv is a registered ISO 9001-2000 for the design, manufacturing, repairing, overhauling and 

distributing of drive train systems, power pack systems, and other components for military 

vehicles. The company complies with all NATO, US, and Canadian standards and specifications.
