2001 – 2002 Bridge watch Keeping Officer INS Viraat(Aircraft Carrier): As a young <strong>of</strong>ficer during the<br />

initial days <strong>of</strong> naval career shouldered responsibility and safety <strong>of</strong> the mighty ship at sea and<br />

harbour.<br />

2002-2003 Watch keeping Officer INS Ranvir (Destroyer Class): Second appointment on board a<br />

destroyer learned and put to practice lessons in organisational behaviour, human resource<br />

management and scheduling and execution <strong>of</strong> tasks.<br />

2004-2005 Amphibious Officer, INS Gharial (Landing Ship Tank): Amphibious <strong>of</strong>ficer is responsible<br />

for landing <strong>of</strong> ships tanks and material safely to the enemy area .This appointment helps to<br />

understand the dynamics <strong>of</strong> an organisation as a whole. This was also an excellent lesson in man and<br />

resource management.<br />

2005-2006 Gunnery Officer INS Ratnagiri (Inshore Minesweeper): Responsible for safe navigation<br />

and optimum utilisation <strong>of</strong> weapons onboard ship. During this appointment learnt the skills <strong>of</strong> team<br />

management, optimal utilisation <strong>of</strong> weapons and provided complete responsibility for every member<br />

<strong>of</strong> my team and the performance <strong>of</strong> the ship.<br />

2007-2009 Training Officer INS Tir (Cadets Training Ship): Planned, coordinated, monitored and<br />

assessed training <strong>of</strong> 600 <strong>of</strong>ficer cadets from National Defence Academy and Naval academy. As<br />

Training coordinator involved in planning and execution <strong>of</strong> course activities which include imparting<br />

<strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essional knowledge, development <strong>of</strong> communication skills and team dynamics to transform<br />

young cadets to future <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> <strong>Indian</strong> Navy.<br />

2010-2011 Staff Officer (Operations) INS Chilka & Naval Officer in Charge Orissa: As Operations<br />

Officer for Naval <strong>of</strong>ficer in Charge (Orissa) planned, coordinated with state level and Para military<br />

agencies, monitored and executed strategic plans for Coastal security along the Coast <strong>of</strong> Orissa.<br />

2011-2012 Staff Officer Administration (Project Seabird) INS Kadamba: A challenging career in<br />

which undertook planning, forecasting and execution <strong>of</strong> various projects in the upcoming new naval<br />

base 'Project Sea Bird' at Karwar. Memorable one being setting up <strong>of</strong> Naval Children School at<br />

Karwar. Involved in selection and admission procedures <strong>of</strong> teachers and students.<br />

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS<br />

‣ Efficiently planned and completed the Structural repair and fabrication works <strong>of</strong> frontline<br />

frigates, amphibious ships with in strict deadlines.<br />

‣ Training <strong>of</strong>ficer for cadets from NDA and Naval academy, active involvement in planning and<br />

execution <strong>of</strong> course activities to transform the young cadets to future <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> <strong>Indian</strong> Navy.


‣ Officer in charge <strong>of</strong> amphibious task force undertook various amphibious operations along<br />

the coast with various units from Army and Air force.<br />

‣ As works <strong>of</strong>ficer undertook planning forecasting and implementation <strong>of</strong> various projects.<br />

Memorable being construction <strong>of</strong> Unit run canteen for the unit.<br />

‣ As the chief administrative <strong>of</strong>ficer, effectively motivated team <strong>of</strong> 100 personnel to perform<br />

under extremely stressful conditions which resulted in winning the most spirited trophy for<br />

the ship.<br />

‣ Represented <strong>Indian</strong> Navy at unit level in Sports such as Basketball, Boat pulling and<br />

swimming.<br />

‣ Team leader <strong>of</strong> a 200 men group onboard various frontline warship and carried out various<br />

exercises and evolutions with foreign navies such as Oman, Singapore and German Naval war<br />

ships.<br />

ACCOLADE<br />

Received Commendation medal from Commander-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command for<br />

accomplishing 100+ successful landing operations there by increasing the confidence level <strong>of</strong> team<br />

and reduced the operational time in achieving the goal.<br />
