COMPANY PROFILE

CORPORATE INFORMATION
Founded in 1987, LUX* Island Resorts (formerly
known as Naïade Resorts Ltd) is a hotel group
with properties in Mauritius, the Maldives and
Reunion. The Company was admitted to the
Official List of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius
in November 2005. Mainly Mauritian owned, the
company has more than 2,500 shareholders as
of 31 December 2011.
The other properties previously operated by
Naïade Resorts Ltd. are part of the Produced
by LUX* Island Resorts portfolio. These resorts
have kept their names: Tamassa, Bel Ombre,
Mauritius; Merville Beach, Grand Baie, Mauritius
and Hôtel Le Récif, Ile de la Réunion, as well Ile
des Deux Cocos,Mauritius, a private paradise
island.
On December 1, 2011 Naïade Resorts Ltd was
rebranded as LUX* Island Resorts.
LUX* Island Resorts is a collection of premium
hotels in the Indian Ocean offering guests the
opportunity to celebrate island life and enjoy
light living. The five resorts in the LUX* portfolio
are LUX* Belle Mare, Mauritius, LUX* Le Morne,
Mauritius, LUX* Grand Gaube, Mauritius, LUX*

LUX* Belle Mare lies on the east coast of Mauritius,
with beautiful beaches overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Just a short drive from the hotel, the town of Centre
de Flacq hosts a vibrant market with a lively medley
of authentic tastes to savour. Regular boat tours from
the nearby coastal village of Trou d’Eau Douce provide
plenty of prime scuba diving opportunities where you
can get up close to the island’s kaleidoscope of sea
life. Back on dry land, there are several world-class golf

A sunset resort on the southwestern tip of Mauritius, LUX* Le Morne
is poised at the very edge of the Indian Ocean and protected from trade winds
by the rugged Le Morne Brabant Peninsula. The resort is set within delightfully
landscaped gardens, with four pools, a spa and a selection of restaurants and bars
offering ample opportunity to sample delicious New World wines and a variety of
island-inspired dishes. Located on the quieter side of the island, LUX* Le Morne
enchants with its fragrant herb gardens, secluded seating areas and romantic

Location
A rugged peak, climbing 556m above sea level, stands proud on the southwest tip of Mauritius.
This is the Le Morne Brabant Peninsula where runaway slaves settled in the 18th and 19th centuries
and played a major role in defining the area’s vibrant culture. Further inland, the Black River Gorges
National Park boasts a large number of local flora and fauna, from orchids and Anthuria to Macaques,

MALDIVES
The island of Dhidhoofinolhu is one of
the Maldives’ largest, with 4km of beaches
and charming water villas. A spontaneous
and playful atmosphere offers delights at
every turn, with anything from impromptu
cinema screenings on the beach and classes

The clear ocean is ideal for snorkelling
