The annual Bath-RAL NA Day is now a well-established UK event. This year the meeting will be held at<br />
RAL on 30January. All ourwelcome. Thereis no registrationfee but pleaseemail mario.arioli@stfc.ac.uk<br />
if you plan to attend so that the relevant security <strong>and</strong> refreshment arrangements can be made.<br />

Sparse Days at CERFACS, 24–26 June 2012<br />
Toulouse, France<br />
The annual Sparse Days at CERFACS will take place on the 25th <strong>and</strong> 26th <strong>of</strong> June, just after the SIAM<br />
Applied Linear Algebra meeting in Valencia. The Sparse Days meeting will be similar in format to<br />
previous years. No invited speakers <strong>and</strong> all talks in plenary session. The current plan is to have no<br />
registration fee <strong>and</strong> there will be very cheap on-site accommodation available.<br />
A web page on the CERFACS Algo site (http://www.cerfacs.fr/6-25708-Home.php) will be available for<br />
registration by mid-January.<br />

Conference honoring Nancy Nichols’ 70th, 2–3 July 2012<br />
University <strong>of</strong> Reading<br />
Registration is now open for the two-day meeting that is being held in honour <strong>of</strong> Nancy Nichols’ 70th<br />
birthday. The meeting will celebrate Nancy’s contributions to control theory, numerical linear algebra<br />
<strong>and</strong> data assimilation.<br />
