2010 Final Placements at IMIS Bhubaneswar had a major growth &
increase in all dimensions. It saw an increase in the number of
companies, highest offer, average offer and new recruiters
compared to last year.

2010 Final Placements at IMIS Bhubaneswar had a new recruiters
from the business analytics space. The major ones are AC Nielsen,
Grail Research, Fractal Analytics, Mu-Sigma, Capital IQ (Standard
& Poors) etc.
Manufacturing Sector
Manufacturing companies were the usual recruiters at IMIS. 2010
final placements attracted companies like Fenesta Building
Systems, Berger Paints, Asian Paints, Colgate-Palmolive,
GlaxoSmithKline, Tractors India Ltd., Nestle, ITC, Rekitt Benckiser,
GSK Pharma etc who offered placements to the graduating
students.
Services Sector
Among service companies the prominent offers came from
Pantaloon (Future Group), Big 92.7 FM, Airex Logistics, First Flight,
Kalpataru Power, Genpact, Matrix Cellular, Radio Mirchi etc.
Banking Sector
Among PSU Banks IMIS saw for the first time some of the
recruiters such as: Central Bank, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of
India, Bank of India etc. Among other banks who offered
placements are Standard Chattered Bank, Yes Bank, Kotak Bank,
HDFC Bank, Indus-Ind Bank, ING-Vysya Bank & Royal Bank of
Scotland.

Sector which constituted 68 % of the total offers
Insurance, Stock-Broking & Mutual
Fund Companies
A host of such companies offered final placements to IMIS
graduating students in the year 2010. Among insurance companies
some of the names are Bajaj Alianz, tata AIG, Universal SOMPO,
SBI Life who offered various positions. Among stock broking &
mutual Funds companies like Darashaw & Co., Gupta Equities,
Anagram Securities, Angel Broking, Birla Sunlife Mutual Fund,
HSBC InvestDirect, ICICI Pru AMC, India Bulls, India Infoline,
Kotak Securities, Nornolia Securies, Reliance Money, Religare
Securities, SMC Global, Spice Money, UTI Mutual Fund etc.
