THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY<br />
YOUR DOLLARS AT WORK
Welcome to <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Relay</strong> <strong>For</strong> <strong>Life</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Webster</strong> <strong>Lake</strong><br />
The American Cancer Society’s <strong>Relay</strong> <strong>For</strong> <strong>Life</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Webster</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> is an overnight celebration <strong>of</strong> life where<br />
team members take turns walking around <strong>Webster</strong><br />
<strong>Lake</strong> to raise funds and awareness in our fight against<br />
cancer. It’s a community ga<strong>the</strong>ring to celebrate <strong>the</strong><br />
lives <strong>of</strong> cancer survivors and remember loved ones<br />
lost.<br />
The 2013 <strong>Relay</strong> <strong>For</strong> <strong>Life</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Webster</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> is<br />
recognized as <strong>the</strong> largest <strong>Relay</strong> in <strong>the</strong> Denver Metro<br />
Area. Our hope is that our efforts will result in a cure<br />
for cancer in our lifetime.<br />
100 years ago, <strong>the</strong> American Cancer Society started <strong>the</strong><br />
fight <strong>of</strong> a lifetime.<br />
60 years ago, 1 out <strong>of</strong> 3 people diagnosed with cancer<br />
survived.<br />
Today, thanks in part to <strong>the</strong> work <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> American<br />
Cancer Society, 2 out <strong>of</strong> 3 will survive.<br />
Let’s make it 3 out <strong>of</strong> 3.<br />
Thank you to everyone who has been a part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Relay</strong> <strong>For</strong><br />
<strong>Life</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Webster</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> ei<strong>the</strong>r as a sponsor, team participant,<br />
survivor, volunteer, committee member, entertainer, or a visitor.<br />
We’re especially grateful to all those who donated<br />
money to our teams.<br />
Hope to see you next year!<br />

September 6 – 7, 2014<br />
Help <strong>the</strong> American Cancer Society finish <strong>the</strong> fight against cancer<br />
by taking a Moment AGAINST Silence. Cancer thrives on silence.<br />
That’s why we’re making noise by taking action now. The <strong>Relay</strong><br />
<strong>For</strong> <strong>Life</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Webster</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> is fundraising to help cancer research,<br />
education, advocacy and patient services that help those in our<br />
community. Toge<strong>the</strong>r let’s make lots <strong>of</strong> noise and help <strong>the</strong><br />
American Cancer Society end <strong>the</strong> fight against cancer.
Survivors are <strong>the</strong> reason we <strong>Relay</strong>. We<br />
honor <strong>the</strong>m and a guest at our survivor<br />
brunch with delicious food, door prizes,<br />
and entertainment. The first lap <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Relay</strong> will be <strong>the</strong> Survivor Lap with<br />
teams and family members surrounding<br />
<strong>the</strong> track cheering <strong>the</strong>m on. Our hope is<br />
that <strong>the</strong> money we raise for <strong>the</strong><br />
American Cancer Society will result in more research and<br />
improved treatment which will give us even more cancer<br />
survivors.<br />
