PRESENTATION OF THE BNP PARIBAS GROUP<br />
Presentation of business lines<br />

A central team of more than 60 corporate bankers, 200 relationship<br />
managers at 24 business centres <strong>and</strong> skills officers ensure that BNP<br />
Paribas Fortis is close to the market. Combined with the European network<br />
of business centres, managed within Corporate & Investment Banking,<br />
BNP Paribas Fortis is able to offer unified commercial management to<br />
its Belgian clients locally <strong>and</strong> abroad.<br />
CORPORATE & INVESTMENT BANKING<br />
Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Belgium acts as a hub for BNP<br />
Paribas CIB <strong>and</strong> supplies Belgian clients with its product offering.<br />
Outside Belgium it provides expertise to CIB globally <strong>and</strong> links up its<br />
network of business centres with the network of BNP Paribas as part<br />
of the pan-European network.<br />
Global Markets covers Belgian clients <strong>and</strong> clients of Corporate <strong>and</strong><br />
Transaction Banking Europe (except trading of complex products or very<br />
large flows) for Fixed Income. It serves all Belgian clients in Belgium<br />
for Fixed Income <strong>and</strong> Equity Derivatives, with local sales teams having<br />
access to the whole BNP Paribas Group product range. For corporate<br />
acquisition finance, export finance <strong>and</strong> project finance activities, CIB<br />
Belgium acts as the structured finance regional platform, serving the<br />
Benelux countries, Northern <strong>and</strong> Central Europe, Greece <strong>and</strong> Turkey.<br />
BNP Paribas Fortis expertise is also leveraged in the management of<br />
public-private partnership financing in Europe.<br />
For trade finance <strong>and</strong> cash management, project competence centres are<br />
responsible for product development, including design <strong>and</strong> technical <strong>and</strong><br />
marketing support. Corporate <strong>and</strong> Transaction Banking Europe (CTBE)<br />
leverages both the BNP Paribas CIB <strong>and</strong> the BNP Paribas Fortis CIB<br />
networks. CTBE is present in 16 European countries with over 30 business<br />
centres (outside the domestic retail banking networks). CIB Belgium<br />
serves subsidiaries of Belgian <strong>and</strong> CIB clients, as well as selected local<br />
clients.<br />
INVESTMENT SOLUTIONS<br />
Fortis Investments, the asset management arm within BNP Paribas<br />
Fortis, has assets under management of EUR 161 billion (1) , employs<br />
over 2,000 people in 34 countries <strong>and</strong> offers a full range of investment<br />
management services to institutional <strong>and</strong> retail clients around the<br />
world. Around 500 investment professionals work across a network<br />
of some 40 investment centres, each of which is accountable for the<br />
research <strong>and</strong> management of a single asset/product class. In the new<br />
Investment Solutions organisation, BNP Paribas Investment Partners will<br />
be maintained as the overall umbrella br<strong>and</strong>.<br />
BNP PARIBAS FORTIS POLAND<br />
In Pol<strong>and</strong> BNP Paribas Fortis is a universal bank providing savings <strong>and</strong><br />
investment products <strong>and</strong> loans to individual customers <strong>and</strong> integrated<br />
solutions to companies for financing their businesses in local <strong>and</strong><br />
international markets.<br />
The year <strong>2009</strong> saw the successful integration of BNP Paribas Fortis with<br />
Dominet Bank. The legal merger of both banks occurred on 31 July <strong>2009</strong><br />
<strong>and</strong> the operational integration was effected between 31 July <strong>and</strong><br />
4 August. The combined entity has a customer base of more than 400,000<br />
clients, served by 2,600 employees through a network of 258 branches<br />
out of which 8 are business centres.<br />
Specialised services of BNP Paribas Fortis in Pol<strong>and</strong> include:<br />
Fortis Private Investments Pol<strong>and</strong>, a brokerage house specialising<br />
in customer asset management. The company’s offering includes<br />
comprehensive solutions regarding capital market investments –<br />
management of investment fund portfolios <strong>and</strong> securities portfolios,<br />
as well as investment funds;<br />
Fortis Lease Pol<strong>and</strong>, offering real estate lease <strong>and</strong> a wide range of<br />
fixed assets, including transport, construction equipment, typesetting<br />
machines <strong>and</strong> other equipment.<br />
FORTIS BANK TURKEY<br />
Fortis Bank Turkey provides a range of banking <strong>and</strong> <strong>financial</strong> services to<br />
its customers. The Bank’s retail banking offerings consist of debit <strong>and</strong><br />
credit cards, personal loans, <strong>and</strong> investment <strong>and</strong> insurance products. Its<br />
corporate banking services include international trade financing, asset<br />
<strong>and</strong> cash management, credit services, factoring <strong>and</strong> leasing. Through<br />
its commercial <strong>and</strong> small business banking segments, the Bank offers<br />
various investment services to small- <strong>and</strong> medium-sized enterprises.<br />
Internet <strong>and</strong> telephone banking are also part of the Bank’s offering. As<br />
of 31December <strong>2009</strong>, the Bank had a total of 297 branches countrywide.<br />
Fortis Bank SA/NV is the majority shareholder of Fortis Bank Turkey<br />
owning 94.11% of its shares.<br />
From 2010, BNP Paribas Fortis CIB <strong>and</strong> Investment Solutions activities will be integrated within BNP Paribas CIB <strong>and</strong> Investment Solutions activities.<br />
Retail Banking activities, including “Retail & Private Banking” <strong>and</strong> “Corporate & Public Bank Belgium” will constitute, for their part, a specific<br />
operational entity.<br />
