LAZUR, in the south of Greater Poland province, was established in 1929 by farmers – milk producers.
In 1959, the cooperative first tried to manufacture Penicillium roqueforti blue mold ripened cheese. The
company followed the recipes of the well-known French Roquefort cheese in creating its own formula.
The cheese received a Polish name ROKPOL. By the end of the last millennium, in the face of growing
competition in the dairy market, the cooperative decided to give up manufacturing other dairy products
and develop the production of rokpol cheese, which was then named LAZUR (AZURE) due to the blue
color of the mold. Soon, the cooperative took the same name. The narrow specialization helped to
make better use of the cooperative’s investment resources and decrease unit costs. Focusing on one
product resulted in a fast increase of quality thanks to which LAZUR cheese has gained trust and
recognition on the part of consumers. Gradually, different varieties of cheese have been introduced
onto the market: LAZUR PEARL /with white mold/, LAZUR TURQUOISE /with green mold/. Due to the
fact that quality blue mold was injected into the interior of the cheese as well as its surface, a new
product, LAZUR SILVERY, was obtained with mold growing inside and on the surface of the cheese.
LAZUR GOLDEN, yet another variety, was obtained in a similar way, however this cheese was
enriched with Lactobacillus acidophilus probiotic bacteria and an annato natural dye.

The major objective of the Cooperative is to satisfy the requirements and everyday needs of all Polish
families so that every single consumer is positively certain of the rightness of his or her choice when
buying OSM Kalisz dairy products.
The major activities of Cooperative are:
milk purchase,
milk processing,
dairy products sale,
raw milk transportation to the point of purchase.

Currently the Cooperative produces the following dairy products:
consumer milk (in plastic bags, cartons, PET bottles),
fermented beverages (premium buttermilk, natural buttermilk and kefir),
cream (of various fat contents and in various containers),
homogenized cottage cheeses, cottage cheeses produced by means of ultrafiltration method,
sandwich spread cheeses (PRYMUS (COTTAGE CHEESE CREAM)),
butter,
ageing cheeses (SALAMI).
The outstanding position of OSM Kalisz among dairy products suppliers is confirmed by numerous
awards. The Cooperative received the ISO 9001;1994 quality management certificate issued by the
Lloyd Register Quality Assurance in December 2000. Currently quality management is regulated by the
ISO 9001:2000 standard. In addition since June 2001 the company has held the certificate of health
quality of food products in HACCP.
To maintain the position of a leading dairy producer in Poland the company cherishes the following
values: reliability, honesty and trustworthiness. Thanks to this, the demand for the products is steadily
increasing.

CEKO company has been established in 1990 and is manufacturer of cheeses. At first the company
started producing a Holland type of cheese – semi hard cheese then a Swiss type of cheese – semi
hard (Jagna - cheese with big gaps, Boryna – lower fat level, Antek – probiotic cheese).
At this moment the company specializes also in Italian cheeses: Mozarella (in blocks and shreded),
ricotta and ricotta light. In 2009 the company has launched a wide list of new products for consumers
and gastronomy market. These cheese are: GRILL (the best for roasting or grilling), FIESTA - type of
feta cheese, SEASONING CHEESE (type of feta family cheese based on herbs composition added,
