Commencement <strong>2009</strong><br />
As you have been or may be conferred the degree in the period 1 July 2008 to 30 June <strong>2009</strong>,<br />
you are invited to participate in the Commencement ceremonies. The ceremonies will be<br />
held from 6 to 16 July <strong>2009</strong> at the University Cultural Centre. The schedule <strong>of</strong> ceremony for<br />
each degree will be available at the Commencement website by end <strong>of</strong> April <strong>2009</strong>.<br />

All information on Commencement matters will be disseminated at the Commencement<br />
website <strong>and</strong> reminders will be sent to your <strong>NUS</strong> student email account (email address<br />
"userid@nus.edu.sg"). Please remember to check the website <strong>and</strong> your email inbox<br />
regularly for the most up-to-date information. In an effort to be environmentally friendly, this<br />
is the only hardcopy letter that is mailed to you.<br />

• As the seat numbers are computer-generated, please take note that you will not be<br />
sitting with your graduating cohort if you do not register your attendance on time. In<br />
the event that you fail to graduate, or for graduate research students, you fail to<br />
upload your theses to the Digital Library <strong>of</strong> Theses <strong>and</strong> Dissertations<br />
(https://etd.nus.edu.sg//) by 8 June <strong>2009</strong> noon, your registration <strong>and</strong> order <strong>of</strong> the<br />
academic dress will become void.<br />
• To facilitate our preparation, we shall appreciate it if you can access the online<br />
registration system to indicate your intention even if you are not attending the<br />
Commencement ceremony.<br />
