• CalFresh Education Projects - Partnership with agencies to educate<br />

CF participants on the use <strong>of</strong> Electronic Benefit Transfer cards at<br />

Farmer’s Markets, CF Program and healthy eating:<br />

-The Ecology Center and Roots <strong>of</strong> Change<br />

-<strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Public</strong> Health<br />

-Northgate Market<br />

-<strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> Community and Senior <strong>Services</strong><br />

-<strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> Aging, Wise and Healthy Aging<br />

• FreshWorks Fund Project - Partnership with the California Endowment<br />

to leverage their FreshWorks Fund to conduct CF <strong>outreach</strong> events in a<br />

new/expanded market.<br />

• Fred Jordan Mission - Conducted CF and Medi-Cal <strong>outreach</strong> at the<br />

Annual Skid Row Christmas Event.<br />

• Herald Crusade Community Center - Conducted CF and Medi-Cal<br />

<strong>outreach</strong> at the event.<br />

IV.<br />

Promote <strong>Public</strong> Awareness<br />

• Dolores Huerta PSA - PSA to promote the CF Program.<br />

• Extended Outreach to the Community - DPSS employees continue<br />

to voluntarily conduct CF <strong>outreach</strong> presentations at houses <strong>of</strong><br />

worship and schools during their own time on the weekends.<br />

• Immigration <strong>Services</strong> - Partner with the Bureau <strong>of</strong> United States<br />

Citizenship and Immigration <strong>Services</strong>, to launch a campaign against<br />

the myths about public charge.<br />

• Southern California Edison Company - Partnership to inform<br />

consumers about CFP and the Restaurant Meals Program.<br />

• Media/Radio events - Participated in various events providing CF<br />

information:<br />

-Univision<br />

-Telemundo KWHY-TV Channel 22<br />

-KSCI Channel 18 "Kababayan LA”<br />

-The County Channel and My County<br />

-USDA-FNS CF radio campaigns<br />

- United Way <strong>of</strong> Greater Los Angeles radio campaign<br />

-Chinese Media Campaign<br />

-KJLH radio station/ 6th Annual Taste <strong>of</strong> Soul event<br />

-Blue Line Media, an advertisement with MTA<br />

• CF Awareness Month Campaign - Preparing the 2012 Los Angeles<br />

County campaign to include <strong>outreach</strong> and media events.<br />
