A motion was made by Anne Lee, seconded by Larry Davis to recommend approval of the
following support staff early retirement:

A motion was made by Anne Lee, seconded by Larry Davis to recommend approval of the
following administrative staff resignation:

The administration recommends approval of the following professional staff resignations:

A motion was made by Anne Lee, seconded by Larry Davis to recommend approval of the
following support staff resignation:

Motion carried unanimously.
The appointment of Teresa Lien, District Literacy Coach, was approved during a special Board meeting in
June 2010, thus this appointment was dropped from the July PSC meeting agenda.
Re-appointments

A motion was made by Anne Lee, seconded Larry Davis to recommend the re-appointment of the
following professional staff employee from lay-off status (see PS-8):
Bobbi Rohrs 2009-2010 Location: East/Woodside/Howe
Position: Music/Instrumental (0.50 FTE)
Motion carried unanimously.
Summer Grounds Staff Appointments
2010-2011 Location: East
Position: Instructional Technology Specialist (0.50 FTE)
*Replacing: Jed Schilling (transfer to Science at WRMS, 1.0 FTE)
*(Noted on the July 2010 PSC Background as “new position”)
P-6 A motion was made by Anne Lee, seconded by Larry Davis to recommend the appointment of
Kevin Berg and Benjamin Kinzel, to the two vacant Summer Grounds Crew positions (as noted in
the May 3, 2010, Committee minutes), for the remainder of the 2010 summer only, at the hourly
wage rate of $10.00 per hour.

P-7 A motion was made by Anne Lee, seconded by Larry Davis to recommend approval of the
following support staff posting result:

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION
Layoff Notices/Bumping
Kay Marks provided the Committee with an update regarding layoff notices for the WREA and food
service groups. In addition, information was shared regarding the custodial group bumping process.

A motion was made by Anne Lee, seconded by Larry Davis to recommend approval of the
issuance of layoff notices to the following WRPS employees which will become effective at the
beginning of the 2010-2011 school year: Corey Lake, Abigail Kreisa, Ashley Tessmer, Mary
Gilbertson, Adam Holberg, Kelli Hedlund, Amanda Menzer, Whitney Petersen, Bobbi Rohrs (see
PS-5 above for Bobbi’s up-to-date employment status for the 2010-11 school year), and Beth Frank.
Motion carried unanimously.

POLICY REVIEW
Policy 411 Discrimination, Harassment and Bullying Prohibited; 411R Rule Student Discrimination, and
Harassment Complaint Procedures; and 411R2 Rule Bullying Complaint Procedures for Second Reading
At its July meeting, the Personnel Services Committee unanimously recommended that Policies 411,
411R, and 411R2 be referred back to the “Bullying Committee” for further clarification and research.
Policy 671.1 Expense Reimbursement for Second Reading

A motion was made by Larry Davis, seconded by Anne Lee to recommend approval of Policy
671.1 Expense Reimbursement, as presented, for second reading.

Policy 221.2 Recruitment/Appointment of Administrators for First Reading
With the recent vacancy of the Associate Principal position at the Wisconsin Rapids Junior High School,
the administrative hiring process will soon begin to fill this vacancy. Based upon input from the incoming
Superintendent, Policy 221.2 Recruitment/Appointment of Administrators needed to be revisited to take
these hiring philosophies into consideration.
PS-10 A motion was made by Larry Davis, seconded by Anne Lee to recommend approval of Policy
221.2 Recruitment/Appointment of Administrators, with noted changes, for first reading.
