The UPRM Undergraduate Catalogue is published for informational purposes and should
not be considered as a contract between a student and the University of Puerto Rico,
Mayagüez Campus. Information contained herein supersedes that previously published
and is subject to change.
At the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, every effort is made to provide accurate
and up-to-date information. However, the University reserves the right to change without
notice statements in the Undergraduate Catalogue concerning rules, policies, fees,
curricula, courses, or other matters when necessary. Changes may apply to current and
former students.
In addition, UPRM is currently reviewing and restructuring many of its academic
programs in an effort to enhance their quality and efficiency. In that process, some of the
programs and courses mentioned in this catalogue may be modified, consolidated with
