The Directors of <strong>DataDot</strong> <strong>Technology</strong> Limited (ASX:DDT) announce that DDT and its<br />
subsidiary company DataTraceDNA Pty Ltd (DataTrace) have entered into<br />
Distributor Territory Deeds with DNA Security Consultoria Técnica em Veículos<br />
LTDA (DNA Security) to sell <strong>DataDot</strong>DNA and DataTraceDNA products in the<br />
<strong>Brazil</strong>ian market.<br />
DNA Security is a subsidiary of DEKRA <strong>Brazil</strong>. DEKRA <strong>Brazil</strong> has grown over the<br />
past two years to be one of the most successful international subsidiaries of DEKRA,<br />
a leading global service renderer in the automotive field based in Stuttgart, Germany,<br />
with a turnover of more than 1.7 Billion Euros and presence in more than 50<br />
countries. DEKRA <strong>Brazil</strong> rendered more than 3.3 million services in 2009 in the<br />
automotive area, employing in excess of 500 staff covering all <strong>Brazil</strong>ian states with a<br />
franchise network. DNA Security has a history of selling around 300,000 car stencils<br />
(anti-theft markings) in the automotive market for insurance companies, rental<br />
companies and the end consumer.<br />
DDT and DNA Security believe that <strong>DataDot</strong>DNA products will be a highly effective<br />
theft prevention solution for the <strong>Brazil</strong>ian automotive market and will be a synergistic<br />
offering for DEKRA (providing additional service income for their network) and DNA<br />
Security (rendering additional services extending the actual portfolio).<br />
DataTrace and DNA Security are seeking to jointly exploit the <strong>Brazil</strong>ian market for<br />
brand protection and authentication allowing <strong>Brazil</strong>ian manufacturers and brand<br />
owners to protect the authenticity of their goods as genuine and stop counterfeiting<br />
and fraudulent warranty claims.<br />
DDT is continuing to expand its distribution network globally in accordance with its<br />
strategic plan with quality partners capable of successful market penetration in the<br />
automotive, finance and insurance sectors as well as business to business, and<br />
business to home products.
