Quarterback may only run when rushed by the defense

Defense
o Defensive players stop offense by pulling off flags from the offensive player with the ball.
o Contact is not allowed unless incidental. Intentional contact will result in a penalty. Offense will
receive a first down plus 5 yards or half the distance to the goal.
o Defense must play man to man coverage. No zones or double coverage is allowed. If defense is
playing a short handed team, safeties are allowed but cannot make a break until the ball is in the
air.
Offense
o Deadballs:
• Ball carrier falls to the ground
• Ball carrier loses flag either accidentally or inadvertently, play continues. The deflagging
reverts to a one-hand tag of the runner between the shoulders and knees to down the ball
carrier (if carrier is in traffic, down at the spot. If in open field, 1 hand touch)
• Incomplete pass
• Ball carrier goes out of bounds
• Fumble is a dead ball, opponent cannot recover a fumble
