Goal of the System
The goal of the system is for a supplier to receive one
9100 quality systems approval that will be acceptable
to all aerospace OEMs throughout the world.
The key element in this is confidence. The aerospace
OEMs must have confidence in the approvals being
given in other Sectors.

• The Oversight System and the
Database has been set up so that IAQG
members may confidently use Supplier
Assessments from Recognized CRB’s
around the globe as one of the tools in
their supplier quality management
activities
• Oversight at all levels is the
key to confidence

– Monitor that each Sector is implementing
their Sector schemes as documented and
agreed upon by the other Sectors.
– Ensure that the database(s) operates
effectively and is accessible to the IAQG
members.

9100 Certification Attributes
• Salient Points about Certification
– OEM’s s are not absolving themselves of any
responsibilities with respect to the supply chain /
products
– Certification increases the level of surveillance by
covering suppliers that the OEM’s s do not cover
directly.
– Provides for consistent application of requirements
throughout the supply chain (9100).
– Provides for active industry participation and control.
– Provides for data sharing amongst primes and
benchmarks the industry in terms of Quality System
compliance.
– Supplements OEM’s s own surveillance process and
allows for more focused process and products audits.

Party Schemes
• Within Europe, AECMA have defined a policy
defining the situations that could lead to a second
party QMS audit (Ref AECMA/QC/25035)

• AECMA-EASE EASE shared second party programme will
be adapted in consideration of the above criteria

• IAQG 104 and Scheme documents are being
updated to incorporate improvements and lessons
learnt
