Your nursing education at <strong>Rutgers</strong>–<strong>Camden</strong> will<br />

You will develop the tools to make a meaningful<br />

The first-year curriculum includes courses in<br />
the sciences, social sciences, and a seminar on<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essional nursing.<br />
The second-year curriculum continues with<br />
anatomy and physiology, microbiology,<br />
nutrition, humanities, and nursing courses that<br />
examine wellness and teach health assessment<br />
and basic clinical skills.<br />
The third and fourth years <strong>of</strong> the curriculum<br />
include pathophysiology, pharmacology,<br />
research, and clinical courses in adult health,<br />
care <strong>of</strong> women and children, gerontology,<br />
psychiatric/mental health, community health,<br />
and leadership.<br />
The Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in <strong>Nursing</strong> degree prepares<br />
students for success as pr<strong>of</strong>essional nurses who are<br />
critical thinkers and knowledgeable providers <strong>of</strong> health<br />
promotion, disease prevention, and care <strong>of</strong> individuals,<br />
families, and communities locally, nationally, and<br />
globally.<br />
Students are immersed in nursing education beginning<br />
in the first year. This dynamic program integrates<br />
nursing study with natural and social sciences, arts, and<br />
humanities courses, while developing nursing knowledge<br />
and skills throughout the curriculum.<br />
<strong>Nursing</strong> faculty are award-winning teachers, scientists,<br />
and clinicians. Experts in their fields <strong>of</strong> nursing, faculty<br />
encourage students to be creative, think critically, and<br />
solve complex problems. Students receive personalized<br />
