Performance Lighting.
Wing, the next generation wall washer range
Selecon is delighted to announce a new family range of performance
wall wash floods to the international architectural lighting markets
which deliver high quality, efficient illumination of walls and general
display lighting.
The Wing range showcases Selecon’s deep understanding of the
requirements and challenges of specialised display lighting with a
choice of high performance wall wash floods that offer lighting
designers and specifiers the opportunity of using less lights for more
light with precision operational features in a single ‘low profile’ design
look which minimises intrusion into the architectural space.
Less lights, more light! The entire Wing range is designed
around a wide flood angle with an adjustable luminaire tilt angle to
precisely position the output as required. This means less Wing
luminaires are required to evenly light a wall, 20% fewer than other leading products, delivering both capital and
operational cost savings.
Precision pan and tilt allen screw lock off adjustments with
reference scales delivering the benefits of standardised set -up and
reduced installation and labour times.
One solution, multiple choice! A wide range of light sources take
advantage of the latest in lamp technologies offering a choice of colour
rendering; dimming capability; life hours; energy consumption and cost
to meet the varying requirements of different projects.
• Linear Tungsten Halogen – 200W and 300W. Popular,
economic warm white source, simple dimming control.
• Halolux – ES 150W – a traditional Gallery favourite.
• Metal Halide – CDM type using electronic power supplies. Long lamp life hours (15,000 cf 2,000hrs for TH)
delivering significant energy savings compared to TH lamps with aceptable colour rendering (80+ – 90+ Ra.)
and choice of 3000K warm white or 4000K cool white colour temperature.
35W – delivers similar output to a 150W TH lamp.
70W – delivers similar output to a 300W TH lamp.
150W – delivers similar output to a +500W TH lamp.
Not easily dimmed.

• Compact Fluorescent – 2 x 17W Philips Eco compact
fluorescent lamps. Delivering similar output to a 150W TH lamp
for less than 40W of energy consumed.
The single ‘low profile’ look is achieved through the integration of
necessary power supplies into the length of the luminaire rather than
being mounted in ugly separate housings and is available in three
colours: white, black and silver-grey with either track adapter or ceiling
rose mounting options.
High Definition Image Projection
A Standard Feature with every Selecon Zoomspot!
You can now go and pay a
large amount of money to
achie ve reasonable pattern
projection with some Fixed
Beams…..!
Or you can use a Selecon
Pacific Zoomspot and this
capability comes as standard at no additional cost. The additional lens
employed in Zoomspots provides additional surfaces for the lens
designer to manipulate to achieve the best control of the light beam. An
attribute found with all Selecon Zoomspots since they were introduced in
1988.
The superior projectorability, cool beam and flexibility and the beam
angle that you desire at your fingertips are only three of the reasons why
Selecon Zoomspots set the standard that others seek to emulate.

The Pacific Peak/Flat central gear - cool to the touch, easy to use, precise and fast.
An essential requirement for any effective pattern/image projection is an even flat field of light.
Peak Beam Stage Wash
Peak Beam Gobo
Utilising the second generation of compact filament lamps, the Pacific’s
optical design allows for complete control of the light distribution over the
beam, from a true peak (+3:1) to a flat field. This adjustment range is
unachievable with older generation multi leg filament
lamps.
With the Pacific true peak adjustment adjacent beams
can be overlapped to create a visually even field of light
without the need to add diffusion, which alters the light
beam characteristics as well as being inefficient.
Selecon Supports Ingo Bracke at the
LUMINALE
The LUMINALE festival of light in Germany is the world's largest
lighting project and this year it was held over eight locations within
the UNESCO Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage site.
One of the major attractions of the festival was the night time
artistic experience entitled „IchWeißNichtWasSollEs“. This
interpretive installation was the creation of light artist Ingo Bracke
whereby the famous Loreley Rock was transformed with
projections:2x Pacific 1000W Zoomspots, 8x Pacific MSR 575
Zoomspots, 6 of which were fitted with the mechanical Pacific
Dowser dimming accessory and 1x Performer Series Rua model
Followspot were the tools provided by Selecon to assist with making Ingo Bracke’s vision a reality.
The preservation of the natural environment surrounding this installation and the 114m (371ft) width of the river were
major considerations of the artist and the light output, beam quality and light strength of the Selecon luminaires were
deciding factors in their selection to realise the concept of his piece.
Selecon selection at the Oslo Opera
House……
The new home of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet,
the Oslo Opera House is a spectacular edifice of Italian white
marble with a slanting roof surface that rises directly from
beneath the waters of the Oslofjord (Oslo Fjord) in the
capital’s harbour and is the first Opera House in the world
where visitors can take a walk on roof!
Over 300 Selecon Performance Lighting luminaires were
specified to service the performance spaces ranging from short to medium throw Acclaim PCs and Rama High
Performance Fresnels and PCs to long throw Arena High Performance Fresnels and 1000W Lui 4-way Cycs and
Groundrows to 1250W Aurora 4-way pole operated Cycs and standard Groundrow units.
