The <strong>Institute</strong> will not provide to the scholar benefits of Provident Fund. Scholarship<br />

will not be given to anyone who is drawing his/her pay on study leave or shall not be<br />

adjusted with his/her pay for any other benefits.<br />

A scholar shall not leave the course before its completion without prior approval of<br />

the Joint Director (Acad.). He/She will be required to give an undertaking in the<br />

prescribed format before the scholarship is awarded.<br />

14.1.4 Surety Bond<br />

All students shall submit a surety bond, duly signed by the Notary at the time of<br />

Registration/Admission as per Annexure‐II or III as the case may be, failing which<br />

his/her registration/admission will not be accepted. Proforma of surety bond is at<br />

Annexure II & III of the <strong>Information</strong> <strong>Bulletin</strong>.<br />

14.1.5 Termination of Scholarship<br />

The Scholarship will be terminated:<br />

i) On the date the student ceases to be on the rolls of IVRI.<br />

ii) On the date the student completes his/her study which may include submission of<br />

thesis and viva‐voce examination.<br />

iii) On the date the sanction of scholarship expires.<br />

iv) If at any time, in the opinion of the Joint Director (Academic), a Student is found<br />

to be negligent in his/her work or is guilty of unbecoming conduct, the<br />

scholarship will terminate without notice.<br />

v) If a student completes his/her study before the expiry of sanctioned term of<br />

his/her scholarship, the Major Advisor should immediately inform the Joint<br />

Director (Academic) for necessary action.<br />

15. MEDALS AND AWARDS<br />

The University has instituted the following Medals/Awards for encouraging the P.G.<br />

students:<br />

15.1 IVRI Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals<br />

One Gold Medal, one Silver Medal and one Bronze Medal along with a certificate<br />

each to the best Master’s and Doctoral students will be awarded for securing highest<br />

CGPA in their respective programmes. However, if a student has repeated a course or<br />

has been given any disciplinary punishment during the course programme, he/she will<br />

not be considered for the said award/medal.<br />

15.2 C.M. Singh Award<br />

<strong>Institute</strong>d in honour of Dr. C.M. Singh, Ex‐Director, IVRI by Dr. C.M. Singh<br />

Endowment Trust, Bareilly, this Award will be given to the best PhD scholar in any<br />

subject of <strong>Veterinary</strong> & Animal Science during the particular calendar year. This Award<br />

carries a citation along with a gold medal (gold plated).<br />

16. STUDENTS’ WELFARE<br />

16.1 Sports and Recreation<br />

The institute encourages extra‐curricular activities outside the class‐room that enrich<br />

cultural, physical and social life of students. Spacious play grounds are provided in the<br />
