OTHER CONSULTING AND WRITING:
I have been a consultant on genetics and public health issues to the World Health
Organization, the French Parliament, the government of Dubai, and the science ministers
of the G8 countries, as well as to U.S. federal agencies. I have engaged in pro bono
litigation and have filed amicus briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court and other courts, most
recently on behalf of the American Medical Association and other organizations
challenging patents on genetic sequences related to breast cancer.
I have also published numerous book reviews in scientific, medical and legal journals,

SILENT ASSASSIN (St. Martin’s Press, 2007) and IMMUNITY (St. Martin’s Press, 2008), I
raise genetics policy issues I address as a scholar.
