New recruits have started work at
Jaguar Land Rover in Halewood.
120 trainees will join production teams,
gaining invaluable experience of
manufacturing processes and working
towards an NVQ Level 2 qualification in
Manufacturing Processes.
When the six-month programme is
completed, the trainees will potentially
secure longer term employment.
The placements were created with funding
through the Future Jobs Fund.
Cllr Dave Lonergan, Knowsley Council’s
Cabinet Member for Regeneration,
support and funding of the Future Jobs
Fund has it been possible to get so many
people into work with such a prestigious
organisation like Jaguar Land Rover.
The Jaguar programme will provide 120
people with an opportunity that might
otherwise have passed them by.”
