Ottawa, 26 mai
Nord de l’Ontario, 31 mai
“The College Conference will be
packed with practical tips and
relevant strategies for education
leaders of all levels.”

You are invited to the
College Conference 2011
In our plenary, we will discuss the launch of the
College’s new professional advisory on the use of
social media. Become informed on the College’s
advice to teaching professionals across the province
about the use – and, very often, the unintended misuse
– of electronic communication and social media.
Engaging in online dialogue affects us all – whether
you’re a director, supervisory officer, teacher, human
resources officer, payroll administrator or principal.
Following the plenary, you will also learn about:
• assisting your teachers to maintain and update their
membership
• the wide variety of additional qualifications courses
and programs you can recommend for teachers
• changes to teaching certificates
• your duty to report professional misconduct
... and more.
We are offering two different venues:
On Thursday, May 26, we will be holding a conference
in Ottawa at Dow’s Lake Court Conference Centre.
This event will run from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
On Tuesday, May 31, we will be in Sudbury at the
Contact North videoconference site. This conference
will also run from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. The agenda will
be the same as the Ottawa Conference. Those who
would like to participate remotely by videoconference
may do so from one of the sites listed at the back of
this brochure.
There’s no fee to attend. Presentations will be
available from our web site, www.oct.ca, at the end of
the conference for your convenience. A complimentary
light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Please let us know if you’re planning to participate in
the Ottawa or Northern conferences. You can register
for the conference of your choice online at
http://guest.cvent.com/d/gdqg75.
Register by Friday, May 13, 2011.
Don’t delay as seats fill quickly.
The College Conference will be packed with
practical tips and relevant strategies for education
leaders of all levels.
We look forward to seeing you!
