As a student in the Bachelor of Health Science (BHSc)
(Honours) Comprehensive degree program you will be
introduced to a broad-based curriculum that will enable you
to explore the diverse aspects of health-care delivery, health
promotion and promoting human wellness while pursuing
studies that build on your particular interests. This program
will provide you with an education that will open the door to
a challenging career across a broad range of health-related
disciplines or lead to graduate studies in a variety of health
science disciplines.
In addition, the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) has
developed innovative and specialized learning pathways
within the fields of health information management and
kinesiology that allow students to focus on a specific area
of interest. Through the integration of various foundation
disciplines within these specializations, you will gain
an understanding of health issues from the biological,
behavioural and demographical principles that will apply in
your professional practice.
The BHSc (Hons) program also provides you with the
foundation to pursue graduate studies across a broad
scope of health science areas, including Health Science,
Health Psychology, Community Health and Kinesiology in
the fields of Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Exercise
Rehabilitation, Human Neurophysiology, Motor Behaviour
and Motor Control. You will also be well prepared to pursue
professional programs such as chiropractic, medicine,
occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
