Program Conducted at the Farmers Meet:
Presentation of Video on Importance of Vermi Composting, Micro Irrigation, New Machines.
On site testing of soils brought by the farmers and handing over the test reports at the farmers meet.
Onsite testing of water.
Importance of Use of Organic Fertilizers.
Importance of getting right information and right time was explained. 18002666208.
Interaction with the farmers – Some farmers got some sample plants to show the pests and eFresh team
suggested them the remedies to prevent the same.
Key Findings
• Farmers are facing a problem in getting the receipt for the seed purchased from Seed suppliers. Few raised
concerns for fake seeds and also low productivity.
• Farmers are not aware of soil testing and water testing and its importance.
• Farmers are looking for new machines for Digging Potatoes and Ginger as framers are small they are looking
for small machines at an affordable price.
• 2 farmers are having a problem of Snails as they are damaging the germination and they lost the crop in 5
acrs.eFresh team collected the sample and also suggested the remedy.
• Rose plants were affected by some disease and eFresh suggested the remedy.
• After the Program we had taken the feedback and it was positive.
Expectations from the Farmers
• Government should see that the farmers get Receipts of the Seed Purchases and check ck the fake seeds in the market.
• There is no NABARD Farmers club and they are Interested to start a Farmers Club and wants eFresh to help them to get a Farmers
Club.
• Farmer is keen to get the technical support on pests from eFresh.
• As there is shortage of farm Labor they are looking for Machines for harvesting Ginger and Potato Crop.
• They want more 208 programs to be conducted in their region.
