built their team volume in the month of January 2013, and in doing so, became top performers<br />

in the Texas Two-Step incentive. This promotion rewarded them each time they generated at least<br />

300 in SV from two or more new Consultants who joined in the month of January. It is this ability to<br />

build volume through duplication and hone successful behaviors as Consultants grow their teams<br />

that can set the foundation for a strong business, and we are proud to share their stories with you.<br />

Jan’s excitement about her improved skin<br />

sold others on the business.<br />

It’s a long way from Hawaii to Texas. However, Level III<br />

Executive Consultant Jan Ben-Rajab from Mililani, Hawaii,<br />

had no trouble two-stepping her way to the Rodan +<br />

Fields ® 2013 Convention in Dallas, Texas. Jan’s rewarding<br />

journey with Rodan + Fields started with a sample of a<br />

few Products given to her by a friend, Hi`ilei Uehara. Jan<br />

had struggled with problem skin since the birth of her<br />

children, and had sought help from dermatologists and<br />

topical treatments with only mediocre results. After trying<br />

Rodan Fields, Jan was soon hooked on the results: “It was<br />

a ‘had to have it, need it, want it [experience],’” she says.<br />

In addition to seeing a change in her own skin, Jan also<br />

noticed how great Hi`ilei’s skin looked. In January 2013 the<br />

two joined the business so they could continue purchasing<br />

Products at wholesale pricing.<br />

At first Jan had no interest in the business, but that attitude<br />

soon changed when she realized she was telling everybody<br />

about Rodan + Fields and its amazing Products. Jan’s<br />

excitement about her improved skin helped her generate<br />

a minimum of 300 in SV from each of 10 new Consultants<br />

in January. This qualified her for several Texas Two-Step<br />

Promotion rewards, including $1,000 in American Express<br />

gift cards. “Rodan + Fields sold itself,” she states. Jan<br />

has been an elementary school teacher for the past 17<br />

years, and one part of her job she doesn’t like is the time it<br />

takes away from her husband and two young children. In<br />

addition to supplementing her teaching income, she views<br />

her Rodan + Fields business as a way to eventually give<br />

her more time for her family—“And more time to take care<br />

of me!” she adds.


CONNIE DEAM<br />

Level II Executive Consultant<br />

from Iowa<br />

Connie uses her “Hour of Power” to steadily<br />

build her business.<br />

Level II Executive Consultant Connie Deam from Sheffield,<br />

Iowa, knew she “wanted in” when her daughter-in-law,<br />

Erica Deam, told her about Rodan + Fields ® at Christmas in<br />

2011. The following March, after debilitating health issues<br />

were making it impossible for her to continue her job at the<br />

local veterinarian clinic, Connie enrolled as a Consultant.<br />

With a nursing degree, Connie thought the idea of selling<br />

Products that help people change their skin was perfect<br />

for her. And she loved the idea of working the business on<br />

her own time table. She works most days from her recliner<br />

or massage chair, and although she has limited ability to<br />

devote to her business, Connie makes the most of what<br />

she calls her “Hour of Power.”<br />

Connie worked with her upline, Jen Griswold, to create a<br />

strategy to build her business and capitalize on Rodan +<br />

Fields’ Texas Two-Step Promotion. At the time, Connie had<br />

several Preferred Customers, so she contacted them to see<br />

if they wanted to become Consultants. Eight of her PCs<br />

became her business partners, qualifying Connie for many<br />

Texas Two-Step rewards. Connie loves doing one-on-one<br />

presentations, she says “launches are a blast,” and she<br />

has big plans for her future as she continues to work at a<br />

steady pace. “I am on track to make Level V EC and go to<br />

Napa Valley this fall, and by this time next year I should be<br />

driving my new Lexus,” she says. Connie also plans to do<br />

all she can to help her team make their dreams a reality,<br />

through the same support offered to her by her team.


MAISHA DIBLE<br />

from Kansas<br />

Maisha Dible got her spirit back with<br />

Rodan + Fields ® .<br />

Level IV Executive Consultant Maisha Dible from Kansas<br />

City, Kansas, was missing her “mojo” when she discovered<br />

Rodan + Fields in early December 2011. She loves being a<br />

mom to her three children, but she needed another outlet<br />

for her creative and competitive spirit. Maisha joined the<br />

company because she had used Proactiv ® in college and<br />

was familiar with the Doctors’ professional credibility, and<br />

she wanted a piece of their next “pie.” As a former college<br />

athlete, she realized Rodan + Fields could give her that<br />

team atmosphere she was missing in her life.<br />

Today, Maisha says she is getting her mojo back thanks to<br />

the camaraderie of her team, as well as the support she<br />

has received from people outside her organization. She<br />

has been touched by the many leaders who have told her<br />

how much they believe in her. This support and community<br />

helped fuel Maisha’s business growth: January was “crazy,”<br />

she says, and she shared her excitement with everyone—<br />

enthusiasm that netted her at least 300 SV in volume from<br />

each of eight new Consultants and handsome Texas Two-<br />

Step rewards at Convention. “For most I just said, ‘What do<br />

you have to lose? I’m going to the top … it’s just up to you<br />

if you want to go with me, have great skin or refer people to<br />

me ... either way, this is huge!’” Maisha says her greatest<br />

success is having her first business partner, Kara Moore,<br />

join her—a relationship Maisha says has kept her inspired<br />

and moving forward on her incredible journey. Maisha’s<br />

goals are clear: to make Level V EC by May, attend the fall<br />

Level V Arrival Trip, become a Lexus achiever by September<br />

and an Elite V achiever by December.


CHERIELYN ESTEBAR<br />

Level III Executive Consultant<br />

from Texas<br />

“The Texas Two-Step<br />

reward was my icing on<br />

the cake.”<br />

The Texas Two-Step Promotion was icing on<br />

the cake for Cherielyn Estebar.<br />

Cherielyn Estebar, Level III Executive Consultant from<br />

Frisco, Texas, had a very full plate when she joined Rodan<br />

+ Fields ® in December 2012. She is the mother of four,<br />

runs a business with her husband, works full-time in the<br />

airline industry and is a full-time nursing student. Cherielyn<br />

felt she had no time for anything else when she first heard<br />

about the opportunity. However, three months later she<br />

agreed to help her sponsor grow her team in the Dallas<br />

area, committed to a 15-minute call, and after carefully<br />

researching the company, decided to take action. She<br />

believes if you want something badly enough, you will find<br />

a way to achieve it, so she didn’t let her busy schedule stop<br />

her. Today, in addition to supplemental income, Cherielyn<br />

says her business has given her family “the best skin of<br />

our lives,” along with the chance for her to grow as an<br />

individual.<br />

Cherielyn was already building her team when she learned<br />

about the Texas Two-Step Promotion. She couldn’t contain<br />

her excitement about the company and felt obligated to<br />

share it with her family and friends right away. She enrolled<br />

eight Consultants with a minimum 300 SV in January to<br />

qualify for Two-Step rewards. "The reward from the Texas<br />

Two-Step Promotion was icing on the cake,” she says. The<br />

real reward for Cherielyn was seeing her friends and family<br />

fall in love with the Products as well. Her parents love the<br />

Products and her siblings have become Consultants, which<br />

has made her already close-knit family even closer. As she<br />

pursues her dream to help less fortunate children around<br />

the world, she credits her team for her success. “I feel<br />

blessed that I have such a great group of smart, positive,<br />

beautiful and hardworking women on my team,” she says.<br />

“None of my success would be possible without them.”


LAURIE FOOTE<br />

Level III Executive Consultant<br />

from Arkansas<br />

“I was much too<br />

excited to sleep; there<br />

was too much to learn!”<br />

Contagious enthusiasm fuels Laurie’s drive to<br />

reach her goals.<br />

Contagious enthusiasm is the “secret” to Laurie Foote’s fast-paced<br />

success as a new Level III Executive Consultant. Add in a goal<br />

to earn as many rewards as possible at Convention and telling<br />

every single person, everywhere she went, every single day about<br />

Rodan + Fields ® , and you have a successful Hamburg, Arkansas,<br />

woman who generated a minimum of 300 SV from each of seven<br />

Consultants enrolled in January to earn Texas Two-Step Promotion<br />

rewards. When Laurie joined Rodan + Fields in October 2012, she<br />

had recently returned to work as a dental hygienist after spending<br />

eight years as a stay-at-home mom. However, she was still looking<br />

for direction in her life. Then, “Bam! I attended a Rodan + Fields<br />

presentation and joined on the spot,” she says. Although unfamiliar<br />

with direct selling, Laurie knew immediately that she wanted to be<br />

part of the opportunity, not to mention start using the Products:<br />

“I was about to turn 40 and was suddenly panicked when I saw<br />

crow’s-feet around my eyes.”<br />

Hearing about the Texas Two-Step Promotion motivated Laurie<br />

to work even harder. “I was much too excited to sleep; there was<br />

too much to learn!” she says. As she began to enroll Consultants,<br />

she realized if she kept generating volume from new business<br />

partners she could qualify for the VIP shopping pass and a photo<br />

with the Doctors at Convention. So she kept sharing the opportunity<br />

everywhere she went. Laurie says her Rodan + Fields business<br />

has helped her rediscover herself, and her confidence is soaring<br />

through the roof. She especially loves that she can help others<br />

achieve their dreams as she works to reach her goal: to have the<br />

time and financial freedom to travel the world with her sons so they<br />

can experience other cultures firsthand.

Karen and John’s business has more than<br />

exceeded her expectations.<br />

Karen Hudson, Level II Executive Consultant from Ada,<br />

Oklahoma, initially joined Rodan + Fields ® with the goal of earning<br />

enough money to pay for her Rodan + Fields Products each<br />

month. “I thought it would be cool if I made more than that,” she<br />

says, “but I didn’t really expect to. Wow, have I been pleasantly<br />

surprised!” Karen is an organizational development consultant<br />

specializing in team building and communications, so her Rodan<br />

+ Fields business is a perfect fit for her professional expertise.<br />

Even better, Rodan + Fields has helped Karen validate her<br />

abilities and enhance her self-confidence, outcomes that have<br />

strengthened her consulting business as well. “I am bolder and<br />

feel more empowered to set and reach higher goals as a result of<br />

my Rodan + Fields experience,” she says.<br />

Karen teamed with her husband, John, to enroll eight<br />

Consultants, each with at least 300 in SV in January, to earn<br />

rewards through the Texas Two-Step Promotion. Karen feels this<br />

success can be attributed to really listening to her prospects’<br />

desires and needs before she says anything. “As I visited<br />

prospects, I made a conscious effort not to talk very much and<br />

really listen to them,” she explains. “The more they talked, the<br />

more information they provided about why and how Rodan +<br />

Fields could work for them ... I just had to connect the dots.”<br />

Karen’s goal is to help her team members reach their goals. And<br />

since she joined with her two best friends, she wants the three of<br />

them to reach Level V so they can take the Level V Arrival Trip to<br />

wine country and San Francisco together.


KATHLEEN WILDE<br />

Level I Executive Consultant<br />

from California<br />

Kathleen Wilde wants to use her Rodan +<br />

Fields ® business to “give back” in a big way.<br />

“Giving back” and creating a more flexible work schedule are<br />

the reasons Level I Executive Consultant Kathleen Wilde from<br />

Fairfield, California, became a Rodan + Fields Consultant in June<br />

2012. As a full-time process engineer, volunteer at her church,<br />

mother of four children aged 2 to 19, with a husband who works<br />

12-hour rotating shifts between days and nights, finding a way to<br />

design a life around her family’s schedule instead of around her<br />

work schedule is important to her. Kathleen hoped that getting<br />

involved with Rodan + Fields would be a powerful way to make<br />

significant changes in her life, not to mention others’ lives, both<br />

with the products and the business model.<br />

Kathleen says she didn’t create a new strategy to qualify for<br />

Texas Two-Step rewards, she just continued to knowledgably and<br />

consistently share the opportunity—and never gave up. Some of<br />

the seven Consultants Kathleen enrolled, each with a minimum<br />

of 300 in SV in January, had already been using the Products. “I<br />

simply shared the opportunity for them to make some additional<br />

income while getting the Products at wholesale prices,” she says.<br />

Kathleen’s passion for the Company also helps her build her<br />

team: “I believe in Rodan + Fields and all it has to offer … not<br />

just to me, but to others,” she says. Kathleen’s goals are to reach<br />

Level V EC by the end of 2013 and eventually work part-time. She<br />

also hopes to retire her husband from his shift work in a few years<br />

and donate to various charities in a big way thanks to her Rodan<br />

+ Fields business.


HI`ILEI UEHARA<br />

Level III Executive Consultant<br />

from Hawaii<br />

Hi`ilei went from “not interested” to glowing<br />

skin and a booming business.<br />

“Not interested,” Hi`ilei Uehara, Level III Executive Consultant<br />

from Mililani, Hawaii, said when she was first approached about<br />

Rodan + Fields ® by her cousin, Lesley Uemura. That attitude<br />

changed dramatically after Hi`ilei used Lesley’s facial wash,<br />

noticed a difference in her skin, and then began using the<br />

Product sample Lesley had given her. Hi`ilei’s skin continued to<br />

improve, and she became more impressed. She had suffered<br />

from bad acne since age 12, and had tried everything to clear<br />

it up, even prescription medications. When people started<br />

commenting about her flawless skin and new “glow,” she was<br />

sold.<br />

Hi`ilei’s Texas Two-Step success was a serendipitous journey.<br />

Even though Hi`ilei loved the Products, she still had no interest<br />

in the business. That changed on January 4, 2013, when she<br />

and her friend Jan Ben-Rajab shared the Products with family<br />

members. Hi`ilei says everyone purchased Products or signed up<br />

to be a Consultant. She and Jan enrolled on the spot. Hi`ilei says<br />

she didn’t really have a strategy to earn Texas Two-Step rewards,<br />

she was just so happy about her beautiful skin she couldn’t stop<br />

talking about it. “I must have given out 100 samples in less than<br />

a month,” Hi`ilei says, which garnered her at least 300 in SV<br />

from each of 10 Consultants. Hi`ilei is grateful for her “booming”<br />

Rodan + Fields business that has kept her busy and given her<br />

a support system to help her deal with the loss of her infant<br />

daughter last year. Eventually she hopes her business will give her<br />

the financial freedom to spend more time with her young son and<br />

focus on her nonprofit interests, including opening a ministry for<br />

grieving parents.
