Cummins ISB6.7 diesel. Cummins is just as responsive
in developing diesel engines that deliver everything from
improved reliability and durability to better fuel economy in
2013. We’re meeting 2013 U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) regulations as well as 2014 greenhouse
gas (GHG) and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)
fuel-efficiency standards a year ahead of schedule. The
ISB6.7 is rated at 260 hp to 360 hp (194-269 kW) with
800 lb-ft (1085 N•m) of peak torque.

handling to the exhaust aftertreatment to work as a totally
integrated system – so we can optimize every function
better than other engine manufacturers. Cummins ISB6.7
already provides best-in-class fuel economy, and it’s getting
better in 2013. The addition of an air intake throttle makes
our cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system more
efficient, which contributes to the increase.
The engine is managed simultaneously with the Cummins
Aftertreatment System through a single, robust Electronic
Control Module (ECM) that optimizes everything from
throttle response to combustion efficiency to emissions
control. There are no major hardware changes in 2013,
just continuous improvements to our proven technology,
including NanoNet media in our fuel filter, which provides
up to 10 times better protection for your fuel injectors. So
you can expect even better reliability and durability.

ISB6.7 engines for 2013 are equipped with the required
On-Board Diagnostics system that monitors and ensures
optimal performance of the emissions system. Cummins
On-Board Diagnostics system has been proven in
thousands of on-road vehicles since 2007.
