2 nd XV TSS 36 - BBC 0
ROUND 9 REPORTS V BBC
The best way to describe the 2nds performance against BBC is, “They left their
best till last!!!” A rampaging, physically dominating display by TSS, over ran what
certainly looked like a big BBC side at the start, but ended up being little match
for this top TSS side. Again a wonderful display and strong platform was set by
the forwards, and the backs in this usual flair, scored 6 tries to take the match
well away for BBC. With 7 wins, and a draw for the season, the 2 nd XV can be
well proud of their achievements, in particular the Year 12s who now leave the
school with an undefeated season under their belt. Big thanks to Coaches Col
and Clint for all their help and assistance this year. Very much appreciated by all
players, and parents.
Tries – Hickson, Lyons, C Chapman, Menzies, Rose, Pearce
Conversions – Campbell x 2
2 nd XV Best Back – Jock Campbell
2 nd XV Best Forward – Nathan Lyons
2 nd XV Best Team Man – Chalie Chapman
3 rd XV TSS 52 - BBC 0
The final game was an important game for the thirds, as it was their last hurdle to
have an Un-Defeated Season. The boys came out firing scoring 3 quick tries in
succession. From there, unfortunately some poor decision making allowed BBC
the opportunity to fight back. With relentless defence from TSS especially Karl
Schroder making a try saving tackle, the TSS side were able to keep BBC to nil.
The second half was definitely better with TSS opening up the game, and scoring
another 5 tries to close it. The forwards were led by Shaun making tackle breaking
runs this giving the backs time to set up there plays. It has been a good season
for the team only letting in two tries to finish like this was well deserved.
