Thursday afternoonat 2 o'clock after a lingering illness. She had been a resident of Davenport forthe past 48 years, having 

come to America and direct to Davenport in 1853. Shewas born in Holstein, Germany, in 1832.In 1858 she was married to 

Claus Henry Blunk who died in 1891. She leavesone daughter, Mrs. Catherine Blunk, of this city.The funeral will be held 

Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the Nissen &Hartwig funeral parlors with burial in the City cemetery.

TXBlunk, Jack Leroy Of Dallas, Texas passed away of natural causes at Medical City Dallas on February 18, 2011 at the age 

of 90. Born on January 21, 1921 in Omaha, Nebraska, Mr. Blunk served with distinction as a Captain in the U.S. Army 

during World War II in both the European and Pacific theaters. After being honorably discharged, he spent his professional 

career in the finance, insurance and real estate industries, both as a small business owner and then, later in life, with the 

federal government. He was preceded in death by his wife, Garnet Arlene Blunk, but is survived by his son Richard Blunk, 

daughter-in-law June Blunk and grandchildren Jason and Kristi Blunk. A memorial service is planned for Mr. Blunk's 

previous church home in Mesa, Arizona. .
