OFFICERS ASSOCIATION<br />
Part II, Section III<br />
The name of the <strong>Association</strong> was amended in 2005 from the <strong>Ohio</strong><br />
<strong>Bailiffs</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Court</strong> <strong>Officers</strong> <strong>Association</strong>, Affiliate of the International<br />
<strong>Association</strong> of <strong>Court</strong> <strong>Officers</strong> <strong>and</strong> Services, Inc. to the <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Bailiffs</strong><br />

The name of the <strong>Association</strong> was amended in 1998 from the<br />

membership open to all court personnel, criminal justice professionals<br />
<strong>and</strong> law enforcement officers. The Chapter evolved from two<br />
associations: the <strong>Ohio</strong> Municipal <strong>Bailiffs</strong> <strong>Association</strong> which was<br />
founded in 1976 which subsequently became the <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Bailiffs</strong><br />
<strong>Association</strong> in 1979 when its membership was opened to include all<br />
<strong>Bailiffs</strong>, <strong>Court</strong> Constable/<strong>Bailiffs</strong> <strong>and</strong> Deputy <strong>Bailiffs</strong> from all courts of<br />
record in <strong>Ohio</strong>.<br />
The <strong>Association</strong> is currently broken down into seven regions located<br />

director <strong>and</strong> regional reps that assist the members <strong>and</strong> courts within<br />
their region.<br />
