The Clean Water State Revolving Fund<br />

• Subsidized loan program for water pollution control and prevention projects<br />

• Below-market interest rates with favorable terms<br />

• Grants in the form of principal forgiveness<br />

• Open to public bodies<br />

• Large lending capacity<br />

• Over $1B in projects funded in <strong>Alabama</strong> since 1989<br />

• Can be used as match for other programs


<strong>Stormwater</strong> <strong>Projects</strong><br />

• Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW)<br />

• Implementation of <strong>Alabama</strong>’s Nonpoint Source Management Plan (not specifically<br />

required by an NPDES permit)<br />

• <strong>Projects</strong> that implement a National Estuary Comprehensive Conservation<br />

Management Plan (CCMP)<br />

• Can fund planning, engineering, construction, and administrative costs<br />

• Can fund land acquisition (319, 320 or integral to treatment)
