<strong>Melina</strong> Llodra joined LALIVE in 2008 after several years of practice in corporate and commercial <strong>la</strong>w in<br />
Argentina. She specialises in advising parties to international commercial contracts, in particu<strong>la</strong>r in the<br />
sectors of energy, telecommunications and life sciences.<br />
<strong>Melina</strong> Llodra has been involved in a <strong>la</strong>rge number of mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances,<br />
joint ventures, restructurings and project <strong>de</strong>velopment, including advice in re<strong>la</strong>tion to complex<br />
contractual structures.<br />
In the energy field, she regu<strong>la</strong>rly advises in the structuring of <strong>la</strong>rge international energy transactions<br />
and in the drafting and negotiation of energy-re<strong>la</strong>ted agreements, including gas transit, natural gas<br />
sales & purchase, off-take, jet fuel leases, supply, fuel lease and so<strong>la</strong>r power purchase agreements.<br />
Prior to joining LALIVE, <strong>Melina</strong> Llodra was a partner in Argentina at Llodra-Trivisonno (2006-2008).<br />
She also worked as an external consultant in contracts and consumer <strong>la</strong>w at the Ombudsman office in<br />
Argentina (2005-2007) and as an associate at Schujman-Althaus (1999-2003). She has participated in<br />
working sessions of the UNCTAD/WTO International Tra<strong>de</strong> Centre (ITC) Pro-Bono Committee on<br />
International Commercial Mo<strong>de</strong>l Contracts for Small and Medium Enterprises.<br />
<strong>Melina</strong> Llodra holds an LL.M from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, USA (2004-2005) and<br />
a <strong>la</strong>w <strong>de</strong>gree from the National University of Rosario, Argentina (1995-2000). She trained at the<br />
Argentinean District Court on civil and commercial matters (1998-1999) and also studied in Spain at<br />
the University Carlos III in 2003.
