Quilt Xcel: An Elite Performing Fungicide
in a Class of its Own
Quilt Xcel fungicide is an elite systemic fungicide containing the Power of Two active ingredients
providing both curative and longer-lasting preventive disease control and Plant Performance to
maximize yield and quality. This powerful formulation supplies broad-spectrum control of corn
diseases and helps maximize harvest efficiency and improve yields through greener plants, improved
stalk quality, bigger ears, more kernels and complete ear fill.
Quilt Xcel Headline Untreated
The applications were made at R1 by ground of Quilt Xcel (10.5 oz/acre) vs. 6.0 oz/acre of Headline ® against an untreated check.
Quilt Xcel helps to increase corn yields and improve stalk quality for an easier harvest.
Quilt Xcel
Untreated
Quilt Xcel (10.5 oz/acre) with NIS was applied aerially at the
R2 growth stage. This was irrigated corn and the primary
disease in this field was Southern corn rust.
Quilt Xcel (10.5 oz/acre) treated at the R1 growth stage.
Application Timing in Corn
Quilt Xcel can be applied:
– Early at V4 to V8 corn for Plant Performance benefits
and curative and preventive disease control.
– During reproductive growth stages near R1 to provide
broad-spectrum curative and preventive disease
control. Always read and follow label instructions.
Greater Return on Investment
In the data below, fungicides were applied at tasseling
and yields at harvest ranged from 1.5 bu/A less to 15
bu/A greater than the control. The Quilt Xcel treatment
outperformed the other treatments by more than $10.
How Does Quilt Xcel Benefit
Your Corn Acres?
• Delivers longer-lasting, broad-spectrum control of
yield-robbing corn diseases.
– Utilizes the Power of Two active ingredients for
powerful curative and longer-lasting preventive
disease control.
– Offers mobility of the two systemic active ingredients
from the site of application through the leaf, providing
uniform distribution within the plant, even to new
growth for better protection and application flexibility.
– Provides built-in resistance management with two
different modes of action.
• Optimizes Plant Performance activity for increased
quality and boosts yield 15-20 bu/A.
– Impacts plant physiology:
• Improves plant growth for higher yields through
improved photosynthesis, nitrogen utilization
and water use efficiency.
• Produces greener plants, bigger ears, more kernels
and complete ear fill for better corn harvests.
• Preserves green leaf area for stronger stalks
and longer stand leading to an easier harvest
and less potential for stalk breakage or ear fall
that results in volunteer corn the following season.
