National Cooperative Refinery Association
(NCRA), is an inter-regional petroleum
cooperative owned by three regional
cooperatives who distribute products
manufactured by NCRA.
NCRA operates an 85,000 barrel per day
refinery located at McPherson, Kansas and a
228-mile refined products pipeline from the
refinery to Council Bluffs, Iowa, and the
storage terminal there.
In addition to the refinery and products
pipeline, NCRA’s facilities include the
corporate headquarters office building at
McPherson, an underground petroleum
storage installation at Conway just west of
McPherson and a crude oil trucking fleet of
approximately 65 transports which operate in
western Kansas. NCRA also owns 100% of
Jayhawk Pipeline, L.L.C., 66% of Kaw Pipe
Line Company and 50% of Osage Pipe
Line L.L.C.
NCRA is committed to participation in
public education and furthering the general
awareness of the public to the issues
surrounding our pipeline operation. This has
included the development, implementation,
and management of a Public Awareness
Program (PAP). Through these efforts, the
operator will enhance public safety, further
protect the environment, and reduce the risk
of third-party damage to the pipeline system.
The company and its management will
provide the needed support, resources, and
funding required to accomplish these goals.
NCRA’s highest priority is the transportation
of petroleum products throughout its system
in a reliable, safe and environmentally friendly
manner. NCRA is dedicated to these goals
and follows all applicable pipeline rules and
regulations. Ensuring the mechanical integrity
of its pipeline system is an important
ingredient toward accomplishing our goals. To
this end, NCRA has created and implemented
a comprehensive pipeline Integrity
Management Plan (IMP). For additional
information, contact NCRA or visit our
website: www.ncra.coop.
Changes may occur. Contact the
operator to discuss their pipeline
systems and counties of operation.
