NCRA operates an 85,000 barrel per day refinery located at McPherson, Kansas and a 228-mile refined products pipeline from the refinery to Council Bluffs, Iowa, and the storage terminal there. In addition to the refinery and products pipeline, NCRA’s facilities include the corporate headquarters office building at McPherson, an underground petroleum storage installation at Conway just west of McPherson and a crude oil trucking fleet of approximately 65 transports which operate in western Kansas. NCRA also owns 100% of Jayhawk <strong>Pipeline</strong>, L.L.C., 66% of Kaw Pipe Line Company and 50% of Osage Pipe Line L.L.C. Northern Natural Gas is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and operates an interstate natural gas pipeline extending from the Permian Basin in Texas to the upper Midwest. The system includes 15,532 miles of natural gas pipeline; 4.9 billion cubic feet (Bcf/d) per day of market area design capacity, plus 2.1 Bcf/d field capacity; 5 natural gas storage facilities with a total firm and operational capacity of 65 Bcf, including 4 Bcf of liquefied natural gas; and employs 947 employees. Northern Natural Gas provides transportation and storage services to approximately 110 utilities and numerous enduse customers in the upper Midwest. Northern Natural Gas also operates three natural gas storage facilities and two LNG peaking units. These storage facilities are fully contracted and are central to meeting customers' peak-day system requirements. Northern Natural Gas accesses supply from every major Mid-Continent basin, as well as the Rocky Mountain and Western Canadian basins. This supply is ultimately delivered to end-use customers located in Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
