<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Workers warned for<br />

using gas leaf blowers.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A citizen complained<br />

about a barking dog on Santa Fe. <strong>The</strong> dog<br />

owner was contacted, and information and suggestions<br />

were provided. Actions will be taken<br />

seeking assistance with barking devices.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Woman reported losing<br />

a cell phone at <strong>Carmel</strong> Beach.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A citizen reported<br />

seeing a dog loose running back and forth on<br />

Scenic Road unattended. Responded and found<br />

the loose black dog on Scenic and 10th. An area<br />

check was made and located the owner in the<br />

water. Contact was made with owner, and the<br />

dog had escaped out of the owner’s vehicle. <strong>The</strong><br />

dog was properly secured, and a warning was<br />

given.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A 41-year-old male<br />

was arrested for driving on a suspended license<br />

and released. Vehicle towed.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A 27-year-old male<br />

was arrested at his residence on Torres on two<br />

outstanding warrants. He was later released<br />

after posting bail.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Report of a past-tense<br />

vehicle burglary. Entry made by manipulating<br />

driver’s door lock. No suspect leads.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Walk-in report of a<br />

52-year-old male experiencing possible hypoglycemia.<br />

Observed patient eat pasta followed<br />

by noticeable improvements in orientation and<br />

LOC. Patient denied further treatment or transport<br />

and signed a medical release.<br />

Pacific Grove: Officers dispatched to a burglary<br />

in progress. Suspect fled on foot but was<br />

apprehended. Suspect was found combative<br />

and a Taser was deployed. Suspect arrested.<br />

Pacific Grove: Officer dispatched to the<br />

location of a hit-and-run with a fence. Vehicle<br />

and owner were located.<br />

Pacific Grove: Officer dispatched to a<br />

neighbor dispute over a tree. Neighbor 1 had a<br />

tree-trimming crew come and cut some trees<br />

for safety purposes. Neighbor 2 was concerned<br />

that one of the trees was not supposed to be<br />

trimmed due to being in civil litigation over the<br />

tree. Neighbor 2 caused a major disturbance by<br />

screaming and crying to the point of panic.<br />

Officer advised the crew to stop trimming<br />

based on Neighbor 2’s reaction.<br />

Pacific Grove: Individual reported a neighbor<br />

using foul language while yelling at her<br />

concerning her dogs.<br />

Pacific Grove: Individual reported a<br />

school friend of her son opened a social website<br />

account and email account under her<br />

son’s name to converse with girls at the<br />

school.<br />

Pacific Grove: Officer dispatched to a<br />

domestic dispute reported by a neighbor. Both<br />

husband and wife denied physical violence had<br />

occurred. No alcohol, drugs, or weapons<br />

involved. <strong>The</strong> husband left for the evening so<br />

both parties could calm down.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong> area: Victim reported both his and<br />

his wife’s unlocked vehicles were entered.<br />

Miscellaneous items totaling $40 were taken.<br />

No suspects.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong> Valley: Male reported being<br />

punched by a coworker. Coworker advised<br />

he had reacted after being threatened. No<br />

prosecution was desired.<br />

Big Sur: Resident reported graffiti on the<br />

northern support of the Torre Canyon Creek<br />

Bridge in Big Sur at mile marker 39.8 on<br />

Highway 1.<br />

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Bracelet found on the<br />

beach.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Female reported her<br />

boss was inappropriately touching her while at<br />

work. Touching involved a hug and a squeeze<br />

of her thigh. Female reported that boss made<br />

comments implying that she was interested in<br />

him and it made her feel uncomfortable.<br />

Female also reported past incidents of boss<br />

kissing her on the forehead and hugging.<br />

Female never reported it as bothering her to her<br />

boss because she was uncomfortable confronting<br />

him. Female’s final day at business<br />

Pebble Beach: Woman reported someone is<br />

going through the bags of garbage she is<br />

putting in her trash can. No suspect information.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong> area: Resident reported a male<br />

was running his dog alongside a scooter,<br />

causing a traffic hazard. <strong>The</strong> male was contacted<br />

and informed of the leash law and the<br />

traffic issue.<br />

Pebble Beach: Victim reported her locked<br />

vehicle was broken into via window smash on<br />

Oct. 26 between 0845 and 0945 hours. Vehicle<br />

was ransacked but nothing taken. Nothing of<br />

value had been left in the vehicle. No suspect<br />

information.<br />

Big Sur: Man reported the theft of a pair<br />

of pants from the campsite. Also taken was<br />

his California Driver License, which was in a<br />

pocket of the pants. No suspects.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A protest took place<br />

on Camino Real and Eighth at La Playa Hotel<br />

involving approximately 100 participants. <strong>The</strong><br />

protesters blocked the roadway and access to<br />

the hotel. After being warned, 16 protesters<br />

were arrested and cited for blocking the roadway.<br />

<strong>The</strong> remaining protestors left without incident.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong> area: CPD units responded to a<br />

domestic dispute. Jane Doe told sheriff’s<br />

deputies her husband had punched her twice in<br />

the face and several more times in the shoulder<br />

and back area of her body with a closed fist. He<br />

was arrested for domestic violence.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Ambulance called to<br />

the scene for a patient with trauma to her eye<br />

after a physical disturbance. Patient refused to<br />

be transported to the hospital.<br />

Pacific Grove: Officers dispatched to a<br />

physical domestic fight in progress. Suspect<br />

fled upon seeing the officers and was later<br />

located in Seaside. Female victim assaulted on<br />

three separate occasions.<br />

Pacific Grove: Driver arrested for driving<br />

without a license and for delaying peace officers<br />

shops in <strong>Carmel</strong> Plaza.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Contact was made<br />

with the victim of a previously reported hitand-run<br />

after unsuccessful attempts to locate<br />

the suspect driver/vehicle. Driver reported that<br />

he has already filed a claim with his insurance<br />

company, and his vehicle has already been<br />

fixed. Driver requested no further investigation.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A 30-year-old male<br />

driver was stopped on Ocean Avenue for a DUI<br />

investigation and subsequently arrested for<br />

DUI. He provided a breath test and was later<br />

released on a citation to his girlfriend. Vehicle<br />

released at scene to the registered owner.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Ambulance dispatched<br />

to a thrift shop on <strong>Carmel</strong> Rancho for<br />

a female not feeling well — syncope. Patient<br />

transported Code 2 to CHOMP.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Ambulance dispatched<br />

to Cypress Drive for a male who had<br />

fallen and broken arm. Patient transported<br />

Code 2 to CHOMP.<br />

Pacific Grove: Individual reported that an<br />

unknown vandal had scratched initials into his<br />

windshield.<br />

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30<br />

.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A loose dog was<br />

found on San Carlos Street. <strong>The</strong> owner was<br />

contacted by telephone via ID found on the collar.<br />

<strong>The</strong> owner was out of town; assistance<br />

given to owner and person caring for the dog.<br />

<strong>The</strong> dog had escaped by breaking through the<br />

fence where it was recently repaired. <strong>The</strong> dog<br />

was secured inside the house, and a warning<br />

was given.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Man left a stroller at a<br />

restaurant.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A Mountain View resident<br />

reported a dog howling and was unsure if<br />

the dog needed help. Officer responded and<br />

found the dog to be lonely but healthy. He had<br />

food, water, and shelter. <strong>The</strong> owner was later<br />

contacted, and followup was conducted with<br />

regards to licensing matter.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Man reported loss of a<br />

digital camera while patronizing <strong>Carmel</strong> Plaza.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A window was<br />

smashed by a San Antonio Avenue hotel<br />

guest due to his not having his hotel key. <strong>The</strong><br />

hotel manager was contacted, and a civil<br />

agreement was made to pay for the window<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Wallet found on the<br />

pedestrian walkway on Scenic was turned over<br />

to CPD for safekeeping pending return to the<br />

owner.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Person reported capturing<br />

a loose dog in the City of <strong>Carmel</strong>. Dog<br />

was taken into custody and brought to station<br />

for safekeeping. Unsuccessful efforts were<br />

made to locate the owner. At approximately<br />

2310 hours, the dog owner came to the station<br />

in an effort to look for his lost dog. Owner was<br />

given a warning, and the kennel fees were<br />

waived due to extenuating circumstances.<br />

Owner was also advised to contact the<br />

microchip company to have his information<br />

updated.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Fire engine dispatched<br />

to Lincoln and Seventh for an alarm<br />

activation. Alarm activated by heat from fireplace.<br />

Big Sur: Subject was involved in a vehicle<br />

accident on the Big Sur South Coast near the<br />

17-mile marker. <strong>The</strong> driver rolled his vehicle<br />

over, then exited the vehicle. <strong>The</strong> subject then<br />

walked to edge of the roadway and fell down a<br />

50-foot embankment. Local agencies worked<br />

together to bring him back to the roadside,<br />

where he was then transported to the hospital.<br />

Big Sur: Two hikers were lost in Los Padres<br />

National Forest. <strong>The</strong>y were located by rescue<br />

personnel and transported out of the forest.<br />

tabs on a vehicle and a felony probation violation.<br />

He was booked into county jail.<br />

for using gas leaf blower.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Several citizens were<br />

attempting to capture a loose dog. One citizen<br />

running loose along Scenic Road. Dog captured<br />

and lodged at CPD kennel. Owner contacted,<br />

and a designate will pick up the dog.<br />

to Cortez Road for a female with<br />

abdominal pain. Patient transported to<br />

CHOMP.<br />
