There is one place <strong>in</strong> the sequence of events dur<strong>in</strong>g the church service which st<strong>and</strong>s out rather clearly,<br />

specifically <strong>in</strong> the section devoted to the Credo. Here the two ma<strong>in</strong> elements mentioned above clash: the<br />

Ord<strong>in</strong>arium missae <strong>and</strong> the Catechism. Whereas the Nicene Creed appears <strong>in</strong> its complete form only<br />

dur<strong>in</strong>g the fast<strong>in</strong>g times, dur<strong>in</strong>g the ‘feastless’ period it is only h<strong>in</strong>ted at by the <strong>in</strong>tonation of the Credo,<br />
