AndAds Issue Two Hundred and Eighty Three – 2 March 2012
AndAds is an English-language collection of advertisements, gossip and information,
There is even more change at the Illa cinema and their website has now been extended to
sometimes show the films for next week as well as the current week. Start by clicking on
www.illa.ad/cinemes. Then, at the bottom of the page, you may find “propera
programació”, which gives you next week. Or, you may not. Either way, click on the VO
icon for the latest English language film times.
It is best to check carefully just before you go and at the box office. Last week, two readers
got there to discover that the film was in Spanish, and earlier this week the times given in
the International Club email were ten minutes different from the Illa website.
We are a team of 3 English teachers and one pensioner [70 years!] who are driving from London to
Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia for charity in July. Our mission is to bring a useful service vehicle, in this
case a minibus, to a needy school in the impoverished capital. We are operating on behalf of Go
Help, UK registered charity 1129226. We are having a really hard time sourcing a donated [or
cheap enough to be affordable] vehicle. The Mongolian government has put some rules on what we
can and can't bring. We are searching for a minibus, minimum 10 seats, 2003 or newer [LDV or ford
transit would be perfect]. If anyone has one in the UK we'd be happy to go collect it. If you have any
contact info/leads, we would be ever so grateful. Please visit our website to read more about our
mission and our charity. www.mayo2mongolia.com . Contact: charley.wright1@gmail.com .
