8. CONTROL OF ENTRIES AND ACCREDITATION<br />

The control of entries and issuing of accreditation cards will take place at the SPORT HALL.<br />

on<br />

20th of September from 05:00 PM to 08:00 PM<br />

21st of September from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM<br />

At least one team official must attend in time to confirm the entries of all athletes and<br />

officials with his/her signature.<br />

A delayed appearance or no-show at control of entries may result in the exclusion of all<br />

participants from the draw and the event.<br />

In case of unforeseen delay of arrival the Federation must contact immediately the organizer<br />

An accreditation card will be issued to competitors, officials, judges and media. This<br />

accreditation card should be carried at all times.<br />

Passports or photocopy of passports from all competitors must be available on request.<br />

Number of accreditations for officials:<br />

a) 1 – 3 Pairs : 4 officials<br />

b) 4 – 6 Pairs : 8 officials<br />

c) More than 6 Pairs: 12 officials<br />

9. COMPETITION RULES<br />

The official Kata competition recognised for these championships, will be five:<br />

• Nage-no-kata;<br />

• Katame-no-kata;<br />

• Ju-no-kata<br />

• Kime-no-kata;<br />

• Kodokan-Goshin Jutsu;<br />

The IJF Kata Competition Rules will be used to judge the Kata with reference also to the official<br />

Kodokan Kata video.<br />

COMPETITION FORMULA<br />

Each Kata will be divided in two groups: the top three couples with the maximum points from<br />

each group (that is 6 pairs for each Kata) will compete in the finals. Four mats will be used for the<br />

preliminary round and three mats for the final.<br />

If the Number of pairs is less than 10, there will be only one group: the top 6 couples of the group<br />

will compete in the final. For each Kata the couple with the maximum points will be awarded the<br />

gold medal, the couple with the second least points will be awarded the silver medal; and the third,<br />

the Bronze medal.<br />

In each of the five Kata the couple with the highest score will be awarded the gold medal, the couple<br />

with the next highest score will be awarded the silver medal and finally the couple with the next<br />

lowest score will be awarded the bronze medal.<br />

In each of the five Kata the following awards will also be assigned to whom is out from the podium:<br />

• the best classified male couple<br />

• the best classified female couple<br />

• the best classified male/female couple
