The following prices were effective since 08/01/<strong>2013</strong> until 08/20/<strong>2013</strong>.<br />
$424.74 per <strong>to</strong>n for Runner peanuts<br />
$404.93 per <strong>to</strong>n for Spanish peanuts<br />
$428.38 per <strong>to</strong>n for Valencia peanuts<br />
$428.38 per <strong>to</strong>n for Virginia peanuts<br />
Prices received by farmers for all farmer s<strong>to</strong>ck peanuts averaged 514 US$/<strong>to</strong>n for the week ending<br />
<strong>August</strong> 10 (1.5% up from the previous week), with sales of 13,600 <strong>to</strong>ns.<br />
Runner type peanut prices averaged 540 US$/<strong>to</strong>n for the week ending 10 <strong>August</strong>, with sales of 8 300<br />
<strong>to</strong>ns.<br />
Since 08/<strong>21</strong>/13 until 08/27/<strong>2013</strong> prices are up $25 per <strong>to</strong>n, i.e.:<br />

Rotterdam trader Alderaban Commodities is quoted reporting in July that spot market increased, in<br />
particular for blanched groundnuts, due <strong>to</strong> delayed shipments from Argentina and Brazil, as well as<br />
insufficient blanching capacity in USA.<br />
According <strong>to</strong> him, Chinese <strong>2013</strong> crop is foreseen larger than in 2012. Chinese market had passed its<br />
most recent lowest point, with prices for 25/29 blanched groundnuts close <strong>to</strong> 12 800 US$/<strong>to</strong>n CIF<br />
