short growing season. Stem: anthocyanin weakmedium.
Leaf: medium-large, medium-broad, silhouette
closed-medium, waviness of margin weak. Flower: inner
side of corolla white, number of flowers medium-high.
Fruit: few-medium. Tuber: oval, yellow fleshed, eye depth
shallow-medium, skin smoothness medium. Lightsprout:
ovoid, red-violet, tip habit medium-open.
Origin Controlled pollination: ‘Jaerla’ x ‘Nicola’. Breeder:
Van der Zee, Bantswei, The Netherlands. Selection criteria:
earliness, yield, quality, disease resistance. Propagation:
tissue culture of pathogen free tissue, mini tuber and tuber
production through 5 generations.
Comparative Trial Description based on overseas test
report from Raad Voor Het Kwekersrecht, The Netherlands
and subsequently compared with registered varieties in
Australia and data collected from previous DUS trials
which is held by PBR Australia. ‘HAV 84-3’ was compared
with most similar varieties of common knowledge
‘Mondial’, ‘Bintje’, ‘Spunta’, ‘Maradonna’, ‘Proloog’,
‘Remarka’, ‘Felsina’.

Leaflet: width medium. Flower: inner side of corolla blueviolet,
number of flowers low-medium. Fruit: absent.
Tuber: long-oval, yellow fleshed, eye at base blue, skin
smoothness medium. Lightsprout: conical, blue-violet,
open tip habit, number of root tips medium, protrusion of
lenticels medium.
