Washington Dulles International Airport and Reagan Washington National Airport are the two primary
commercial airports serving Fairfax County and Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Washington
Airports Authority operates both of these airports. A third airport, Baltimore Washington International, is
located 38 miles north of Washington, D.C.
Washington Dulles International Airport, one of the fastest growing airports in the U.S., is 12 miles (19

commuter flights. Twelve passenger airlines serve the airport and flights include daily nonstop service to
70 U.S. cities and direct service to two Canadian and Caribbean cities. Ground transportation between
Washington Dulles and Reagan National airports is available through express bus, taxi and shuttle
services.
Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) is located 38 miles (51.5 km) from Fairfax County.
BWI serves 48 passenger and cargo airlines and offers 692 daily commercial flights to 59 domestic and 12
international destinations.
