2009-2010: Consultant to the Central Bank of <strong>Chile</strong>. Project: “The success of the store<br />
credit in <strong>Chile</strong>: Regulation or Efficiency?” (With Juan Pablo Montero).<br />
1999-2008: Advisor to different governmental agencies in countries such as: Dominican<br />
Republic, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Peru and Bolivia. Main topics: Private Pension Funds<br />
and Capital Markets (market structure and investment allocation).<br />
1991-1996: Advisor to government institutions of Mexico, Argentina and Bolivia:<br />
Consultant in various issues related with market structure and investment allocation, with<br />
particular emphasis on the analysis of the market for securities and pension funds.<br />
1991–1996: Government of <strong>Chile</strong>. Superinten<strong>de</strong>ncy of Pension Funds (Superinten<strong>de</strong>ncia <strong>de</strong><br />
AFP): Consultant in areas related with financial regulation and market structure (different<br />
projects).<br />
1995-1996: Government of <strong>Chile</strong>. Superinten<strong>de</strong>ncy of Securities and Insurance: Analysis<br />
of new investment alternatives for insurance companies.<br />
1995-1996: Government of Peru. Responsible for the regulation to allow the investment<br />
of pension fund resources in international securities.<br />
Economic Analysis of Markets, Practices and Industry Structure<br />
2000-Present: Different studies related to competition, strategy and antitrust in markets<br />
such as healthcare services, telecommunications, electricity, dairy products, pharmacies,<br />
pension funds and retail, among others. Several of these studies have been presented to the<br />
antitrust authorities whereas others have served to assess the regulatory and competitive<br />

Study presented to the Congress of the Republic of <strong>Chile</strong> and other institutions.<br />
Exclusive <strong>de</strong>aling in the beer market: An analysis of the beer market. Study<br />
commissioned by CCU (the largest beer company in <strong>Chile</strong>).<br />
The telecommunications market in <strong>Chile</strong> and the suitability of end consumer’s<br />
