PENINSULA SHOWJUMPING CLUB<br />
AUTUMN CHAMPIONSHIPS<br />
MARCH 3RD & 4TH, 2012<br />
The Peninsula Showjumping Club held their Autumn Championships last weekend at the Ayr Hill - Hillcrest<br />
Equestrian Park, a purpose built equestrian complex that is part of the Hillcrest Christian College, Clyde North<br />
just East of Melbourne.<br />
Saturday’s rain not deterring the proceedings thanks to the roof over the sand arena, although Sunday started<br />
with a little drizzle the sun was out bright and shiny by midmorning.<br />
Just over 200 competition rounds were jumped with riders from all over Victoria. Greg Stephens from Shady<br />
Creek designed the courses with great jumping each day using the Peninsula Jump Club’s equipment with<br />
flower and shrub decorations from Christine Stephens.<br />
The winners of Sunday’s championships were: Colin Wareing from Lang Lang won the D grade Championship<br />
riding Just Ned, Vanessa Weir from Mornington won the C and D Grade Championship riding BP Striking<br />
Diamond, James Harvey from Wandin riding Patangas Oberon and the Grand Prix was won by Russell<br />
Johnstone from Whittlesea riding Carlo from Mark Nicholls from Sunbury riding Ulone R and Kelly Lees from<br />
Wodonga riding Ohio Silver.<br />
