Sharon Baenen Salm resigned from the Green
Bay Park and Recreation Department to become
an elementary education teacher in De Pere.
The Salms have thr.ee children.
George Schubert received the Certificate of
Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology, the
highest clinical award given by the American
Speech and Hearing Association, in February.
He is an assistant professor of speech pathology
at the University of North Dakota and serves
as associate editor of the North Dakota Speech
and Hearing Journal. He spends his summers at
the University of Washington working on his
Ph.D.
1963
Robert Ayers. junior high track coach in the
Manitowoc school system for the past five years,
was named track coach at Lincoln High School
last February.
David Growt is a stockbroker with the
Marshall Company in La Crosse. Previously, he
taught high school. The Growts live in Onalaska.
Tracy Lee Hanson is the purchasing agent
for the Janesville Public Schools.
James Markos earned a master's degree in
social science from Winona State College, Minn.
and is currently teaching at Logan Junior High
School in La Crosse.
Orby Moss Jr. is head track coach and physical
education instructor at Racine J. I. Case
High School. This summer he will be director
of the Neighborhood Youth Corps program in
Racine while doing graduate work at the University
of Wisconsin - Milwauke.e.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Sullivan (Joy Varo) announce
the birth of a daughter, Jodi Lynn, Jan.
26. Prior to her daughter's birth Mrs. Sullivan
had been sup.ervisor of the clinical laboratory
of Westlake Community Hospital in Melrose
Park, Ill. She is completing course work for an
Illinois state teaching certificate.
1964
David Falk is employed by the Marathon Oil
Company in Denver, Colo., as a chemical researcher.
The Falks have a son.
Daniel Jack has joined Consolidated Papers,
Inc. as a sales trainee. He will become a sales
repr.esentative after completing a three month
orientation and training program.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Jeffers (Janice Fish '65)
announce the birth of a daughter. They live in
Midland, Mich. where Jeffers is a patent attorney
for the Dow Chemical Co. and his wife
teaches second grade.
Mrs. Sharon Mielke has been elected editor
of the new "Wisconsin Area" newspaper, a supplement
to the Methodist magazine, "Together."
Mrs. Mielke previously edited the Wisconsin
Conference newspaper, "Badger Tidings." The
Mielkes have three children of their own and
two foster daughters.
Ben Roloff. presently a graduate assistant in
the economics department at La Crosse State,

will teach at Ashwaubenon High School in
Green Bay next fall.
Lynn Zwitter received her master's degree
from Colorado State College, Greeley, in March.
1965
Roxanna Luke Bayer has moved to Elgin, Ill.
where she is employed by the YWCA as a
program director and her hl,l.sband is a train
dispatcher. Previously, Mrs. Bayer worked for
VISTA in North Carolina and then taught in
Sheboygan.
Mr. and Mrs. Helling (Carol Smith) announce
the birth of a daughter, Connie, in April. Hellingteaches
at Marathon High School.
Daniel Graf has been awarded one of two
Regents PredbCtbral Fellowships granted by the
Graduate College ofthe University of Nebraska.
Graf received his M.A. from the University of
Nebraska in 1967 and has done advanced study
at the University of Wisconsin, where he was
appointed a Ford Foundation Fellow for 1967­
1968. The Grafs have a nine-month-old daughter.

pilot, recently completed
his 231st combat mission
in Southeast Asia.
He flew with the 557th
Tactical Fighter Squadron
from Cam Ranh
Bay air base, Vietnam
and is scheduled for reassignment
to Reese,
AFB, Tex.
Roger Kussmann has joined the faculty at
East Troy High School as a social studies teacher.
Previously, he taught in West Salem.
Rita Norton. joined the faculty of Stephens
College, Columbia, Mo. as an instructor of
physical education last fall. Previously, she
taught high school in Sheboygan.
Alice Johnson Smith is attending the Wesley
Medical Center in Wichita, Kan., for one year
to obtain certification as a blood bank technologist.
1966
Mrs. Alfred Anding (Kathy Greenheck) is
planning to teach an experimental junior primary
class at Allis school in Madison, beginning
the fall of 1969. She has been teaching
first' grade for the last three years.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eckman (Dorene Boese)
announce the birth of a daughter, Wendy Rae,
Dec. 4. The Eckmans live in Palmer, Ala.
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Ga.utse:b.(:pa.m.el8,Gullt
'67) reside in Golden Valley, a suburb of Minneapolis,
where Gautsch is a toy buyer for
the home office of Coast to Coast stores and
his wife teaches first grade.
Barbara Zeiniman Jumes '66 heads the physical
education department at Sheboygan South
High School.
