Sharon Baenen Salm resigned from the Green<br />

Bay Park and Recreation Department to become<br />

an elementary education teacher in De Pere.<br />

The Salms have thr.ee children.<br />

George Schubert received the Certificate <strong>of</strong><br />

Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology, the<br />

highest clinical award given by the American<br />

Speech and Hearing Association, in February.<br />

He is an assistant pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> speech pathology<br />

at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> North Dakota and serves<br />

as associate editor <strong>of</strong> the North Dakota Speech<br />

and Hearing Journal. He spends his summers at<br />

the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Washington working on his<br />

Ph.D.<br />

1963<br />

Robert Ayers. junior high track coach in the<br />

Manitowoc school system for the past five years,<br />

was named track coach at Lincoln High School<br />

last February.<br />

David Growt is a stockbroker with the<br />

Marshall Company in La Crosse. Previously, he<br />

taught high school. The Growts live in Onalaska.<br />

Tracy Lee Hanson is the purchasing agent<br />

for the Janesville Public Schools.<br />

James Markos earned a master's degree in<br />

social science from Winona State College, Minn.<br />

and is currently teaching at Logan Junior High<br />

School in La Crosse.<br />

Orby Moss Jr. is head track coach and physical<br />

education instructor at Racine J. I. Case<br />

High School. This summer he will be director<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Neighborhood Youth Corps program in<br />

Racine while doing graduate work at the <strong>University</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> Wisconsin - Milwauke.e.<br />

Mr. and Mrs. Don Sullivan (Joy Varo) announce<br />

the birth <strong>of</strong> a daughter, Jodi Lynn, Jan.<br />

26. Prior to her daughter's birth Mrs. Sullivan<br />

had been sup.ervisor <strong>of</strong> the clinical laboratory<br />

<strong>of</strong> Westlake Community Hospital in Melrose<br />

Park, Ill. She is completing course work for an<br />

Illinois state teaching certificate.<br />

1964<br />

David Falk is employed by the Marathon Oil<br />

Company in Denver, Colo., as a chemical researcher.<br />

The Falks have a son.<br />

Daniel Jack has joined Consolidated Papers,<br />

Inc. as a sales trainee. He will become a sales<br />

repr.esentative after completing a three month<br />

orientation and training program.<br />

Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Jeffers (Janice Fish '65)<br />

announce the birth <strong>of</strong> a daughter. They live in<br />

Midland, Mich. where Jeffers is a patent attorney<br />

for the Dow Chemical Co. and his wife<br />

teaches second grade.<br />

Mrs. Sharon Mielke has been elected editor<br />

<strong>of</strong> the new "Wisconsin Area" newspaper, a supplement<br />

to the Methodist magazine, "Together."<br />

Mrs. Mielke previously edited the Wisconsin<br />

Conference newspaper, "Badger Tidings." The<br />

Mielkes have three children <strong>of</strong> their own and<br />

two foster daughters.<br />

Ben Rol<strong>of</strong>f. presently a graduate assistant in<br />

the economics department at La Crosse State,<br />

will teach at Ashwaubenon High School in<br />

Green Bay next fall.<br />

Lynn Zwitter received her master's degree<br />

from Colorado State College, Greeley, in March.<br />

1965<br />

Roxanna Luke Bayer has moved to Elgin, Ill.<br />

where she is employed by the YWCA as a<br />

program director and her hl,l.sband is a train<br />

dispatcher. Previously, Mrs. Bayer worked for<br />

VISTA in North Carolina and then taught in<br />

Sheboygan.<br />

Mr. and Mrs. Helling (Carol Smith) announce<br />

the birth <strong>of</strong> a daughter, Connie, in April. Hellingteaches<br />

at Marathon High School.<br />

Daniel Graf has been awarded one <strong>of</strong> two<br />

Regents PredbCtbral Fellowships granted by the<br />

Graduate College <strong>of</strong>the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Nebraska.<br />

Graf received his M.A. from the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

Nebraska in 1967 and has done advanced study<br />

at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Wisconsin, where he was<br />

appointed a Ford Foundation Fellow for 1967­<br />

1968. The Grafs have a nine-month-old daughter.<br />

and is scheduled for reassignment<br />

AFB, Tex.<br />

Roger Kussmann has joined the faculty at<br />

East Troy High School as a social studies teacher.<br />

Previously, he taught in West Salem.<br />

Rita Norton. joined the faculty <strong>of</strong> Stephens<br />

College, Columbia, Mo. as an instructor <strong>of</strong><br />

physical education last fall. Previously, she<br />

taught high school in Sheboygan.<br />

Alice Johnson Smith is attending the Wesley<br />

Medical Center in Wichita, Kan., for one year<br />

to obtain certification as a blood bank technologist.<br />

1966<br />

Mrs. Alfred Anding (Kathy Greenheck) is<br />

planning to teach an experimental junior primary<br />

class at Allis school in Madison, beginning<br />

the fall <strong>of</strong> <strong>1969</strong>. She has been teaching<br />

first' grade for the last three years.<br />

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eckman (Dorene Boese)<br />

announce the birth <strong>of</strong> a daughter, Wendy Rae,<br />

Dec. 4. The Eckmans live in Palmer, Ala.<br />

Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Ga.utse:b.(:pa.m.el8,Gullt<br />

'67) reside in Golden Valley, a suburb <strong>of</strong> Minneapolis,<br />

where Gautsch is a toy buyer for<br />

the home <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> Coast to Coast stores and<br />

his wife teaches first grade.<br />

education department at Sheboygan South<br />
