Sinclairs Bondi consists of two privately managed student hostels conveniently
located near Bondi Beach. The hostels are located on two properties, 2 minutes
walk from Waverly Oval, which has a cricket and rugby ground, tennis courts,
playground and a wonderful view to the Pacific Ocean. Sinclairs Bondi is a 5
minute bus trip from Bondi Junction shopping centre, 10 minutes from famous
Bondi Beach and approximately 30 minutes from Kaplan International College
Sydney City and the city centre. Supermarkets, shops and restaurants are also
within a 2 minute walk.
Most rooms have a tv/dvd, refrigerator, storage facilities, table, chair and ceiling
fan. Everyday a self-service continental breakfast is served in the kitchen.
Communal areas include a dining-room, a large outdoor terrace with free BBQ
for residents to use before 10:30pm and kitchen facilities before 9:30pm.
Other facilities include a washing machine, tourist brochures, internet, books
and games.

Type of accommodation
Single, twin or double rooms are
available.
Meals
Self-catering. Each hostel has a kitchen
where students can prepare their
own meals. A self-service continental
breakfast is provided in the dining
room from 7-9am, Monday to Friday
and 8-10am on weekends and public
holidays.
Kitchen
The shared kitchen is fully equipped
with cooker, microwave, stove, toaster,
crockery and cutlery. The kitchen is
closed at 9:30pm. Students must clean
kitchen after use.
Rooms
Each study bedroom consists of 1 or 2
single beds (twin rooms may have bunk
beds) or a double bed, a desk, chair,
wardrobe, fridge, TV/DVD.
Bathrooms
There are shared toilets and bathrooms
in each building.
Utilities
Electricity and water are included in the
fee. The electrical current is 240 volts.
Students from some countries will
require a transformer or adaptor.
Internet and phone
A payphone is only a short walk
from the hostel. Free wi-fi internet is
available, although downloading is
not allowed. Students can also use the
hostel computer at AUD 3 per hour.
Laundry and cleaning
A coin-operated washing machine
is available for use. Iron and ironing
board provided. Rooms are cleaned
weekly during school hours.
Bed linen and towels
Bed linen, sheets and towels are
provided and changed weekly.
Security and keys
Security door and room key provided to
each resident. The key deposit is AUD
100, to be paid upon arrival. There are
also CCTV cameras in common areas.
Visitors
No visitors are allowed in the hostel.
Noise and restrictions
Students are requested to be
considerate to their neighbours and
keep noise levels to a minimum
especially after 10pm.
Note
4 weeks booking is mandatory.
No refunds for the first 4 weeks.
4 weeks notice and an AUD 75 change
fee is required for booking changes.
No refund after 50% of the course has
been completed.
Availability
Sinclairs is available year round.
Availability is low during summer
months. Please check with a Kaplan
representative at the time of enrolment.
Arrivals and departure
Check-in: Saturday or Sunday, 12 noon.
Check-out: Saturday or Sunday, 10am.
For guaranteed early or late check-in times the
previous night or an additional nights booking
is required and cannot be guaranteed without 2
weeks prior written notice.
